Our group of 5 decided to step our of our comfort zone and attend the French Dinner. We had an incredible meal. They were able to accommodate a last minute addition to our party. Everyone loved all the courses; the burrata was rich and delicious, the scallop carpaccio was tender and flavorful. The wine pairing was thoughtful and each pour was elegant. For us, the star was the steak frites. Each steak was cooked exactly as ordered, the sauce was flavorful, and the frites were cooked perfectly. I'm not normally a big dessert person, but the chocolate mousse is not to be missed. If you're on the fence about dusting off your French, go for it! All the staff was patient and accommodating despite our very mixed bag of French skills. Our whole group is excited to come back for dinner (and to try brunch)!

Good food, nice Service. It was loud when I first went in, but after a while, there was less people, and the noise level went down towards the end. Overall, would go again

Took a chance on a tip and it paid off. I’m always a bit leary of “French” US restaurants. A lot tend towards pretentious and fussy. Cafe Sauvage was delightful. The food was good, the staff charming and unobtrusive. The music choices were good and not deafening. We had the mussels in coconut milk and the toast chicken as well as the French onion soup - all of it was great. Thanks. We’ll be back next time we’re in Boston.

Excellent food but way too loud for me with other diners too close.
