Had gone in for a wine tasting evening. Excellent service and courteous. Vidya, the wine consultant was at her best. Wish my knowledge about wine was as good as hers. The importer was polite and made me realise the value of organic wine and to care for such small producers. Food was great and was extremely good value for money, considering it was six courses

An interesting concept, matching Spanish wine with "Indian tapas". The initial impression was not great. After arriving at the time stated in the emails (6.30) I was greeted warmly by Cyrus and then Pervin but then sat until after 7.30 with about 70ml of an indifferent Cava and some coloured crackers with chutney. Then the rather dry starters were served with water. The rest of the food was well flavoured (but heavily dependent on potato) and well matched with the wines. I enjoyed the Rose Kulfi and Creme Caramel. My least enjoyable evening at Café Spice. Sorry. Charming waiting Staff and Cyrus did come upstairs to chat to everyone.
