   The food is creative, but accessible. The Wine list is fantastic and the servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Such a great restaurant.

   Service was excellent. Came here for an anniversary and they had a cute anniversary wish card on the table for us. Foie gras dumplings, steam burgers, and duck stack were all fantastic. Some bleed over sound from the music venue next door but otherwise great experience!

   We’ve dined at Le Pigeon before and loved it so wanted to go to Canard for a special occasion. The noise level was intense (walls shaking) due to the fact there is a concert venue above. We learned that last night was Shredfest - so heavy metal the entire meal. We had to yell to be heard, and left with headaches. The staff was nonchalant because we learned it is a usual occurrence on weekends. As a large party, we didn’t have the option to leave and find another restaurant for our size at 8pm so overall a very expensive disappointing experience.

   Our experience was good overall. The wine list offered many options, but mostly very expensive. Food was yummy, coming out a bit on a slow side. The service was fine. But the noice level (music - why?!!) is very very high. You can’t hear your dinner partner across the table, only those that are next to you.

    We love Canard. The food is amazing and surprising and always tasty. The service is friendly and always answers any questions. We appreciate that the tables are not insanely close together. It is one of our favorite Portland restaurants!
