    I arrived early before the rest of my party. I had made reservations in December for this dinner with friends. I was led to a table in the bar. I asked if that was all there was, since I had reserved this quite some time ago. She said it was the only 6 seater left (which turned out to be untrue). I said I wasn't very happy about that, and she became very rude and short with me. I sat there for a second, but decided to request a table in the dining room, as we had a baby coming with us. (I didn't want a baby in the bar area). I went back to the front, it appeared the young lady was standing there telling her coworkers. I asked to be moved to a new table. She was polite about it. I have been going to Cap City since they opened and to all the Cameron Mitchell restaurants for years. This was something I hadn't encountered before. It wasn't a huge deal, but more of a disappointment. I made my reservation in advance, the bar area is first come/first serve, I shouldn't need to specify whether I have a baby coming. I shouldn't have been made to feel like I didn't deserve a dining room table. It was odd. I will still go back, but not the best experience.

    Another great experience at Cap City Diner. It was really busy on a Friday night, but the service was great and the timing of food was just fine. My table had the burger, fish and chips and the salmon and all were great. We also got dessert, the big cake slice and brownie sundae and we all thought that both of them were a bit too sweet, too much. Both could use a better balance of sweetness and other tastes and more ice cream.

    Parking across the street was fine. Wait time was about 5 minutes. Waiter was very good. attentive, no mistakes. My wife had City Kabobs, and I had fish & chips. Both were excellent. Ambience was fine. Noise level was low enough that we were able to have a normal conversation.
