   (11/14/24 - 6:15pm ish) First course was good, had the French onion soup and my grandmother had the scallops Rockefeller. Unfortunately both of our steaks were overcooked when they came out. I didn’t care because I was just hungry but my grandmother sent hers back. They made her a whole new steak but when it finally came out it was raw not even rare. After the first mess up the manager offered a free desert and then eventually took my grandmothers steak off the bill. It was getting late and I wasn’t in the mood to wait for my steak to be cold for her third to come out. I don't get to go out with her very much so we were both very disappointed. I’m not sure what was wrong with our server(Paul). He was nice but the service was lacking and overall uncomfortable vibes tho whole time. Not worth the prices we paid at all.

   Went on a date here last night. Our server Lily had a great attitude and gave us excellent service. The food and drinks were lovely and the atmosphere was really romantic. Definitely recommend!

   Great service and ambience perfect for our 46th anniversary. Steaks were very good as always French onion soup the best around and the kale salad really good, veggies were blah or the meal would have been a 5. Wish the had a 4.5 grade. Will celebrate our 47th anniversary there next year.

   Absolutely excellent! They do prefer reservations, so make those if you can. The food and service were amazing! We are from out of town and wish we could take this restaurant back home with us!

   We ordered two cocktails - Manhattan up and also one of their craft cocktails, both were good. We ordered filet mignon and boneless rib eye. We started with french onion soup. The soup was delicious and had nicely caramelised onions. They were not the prime grade, but the steaks were nonetheless juicy and cooked to perfection at medium rare. It came with whipped potatoes and a medley of sautéed seasoned veggies like zucchini and carrots. We ordered the zip sauce on the side (very tasty). For dessert, we got the lavender crème brûlée. It was topped with a dollop of whipped cream and berries. The crème brûlée was very well executed with a light lavender scent and a perfect ending. The overall service was excellent! We were greeted upon entry by the hostess and guided to our reserved seats. The dining room has booths and tables and extending beyond the room is the bar. The ceilings were high and with a lot of hard surfaces, it was very noisy and hard to hear each other over the table. Our waitress was very attentive as well as the food runners who were very fast with delivering our drinks and food. Our waitress was very friendly and warm and helped to assuage the loud ambiance of the dining room. Overall, very good food and service. Beware of the dining room aesthetics, if you don’t mind, Capital Prime is a great place for dinner.

   Absolutely horrible do not go here. The worst dining experience I have ever encountered. Absolutely no idea what a "Steakhouse" should be. I have had a better "Steakhouse" meal at an "Outback" chain restaurant, having a burger with my children. We waited a very long time to be greeted at our table, it was not busy. Numerous staff just walked past us without even glancing our way. It took so long that we just ordered entrees. The food took an eternity to be served. We ordered from the standard dryaged steak list. The Ribeye and Strip were cold, not seared and borderline inedible. The accompanying mashed potatoes were cold and stiff. The vegetables, very lovely carrots, were undercooked and hard. The compound butter was literally ice cold. The Brussel sprouts were overly spicy and inedible. The lobster salad was drowning in dressing. You could have had it as a soup. The server was apologetic while we waited and obviously unable to assist. The decor is hideous. The interior design reminded me of what would be considered fancy in the 70's disco era. Black, silver, and metallic blue? Gaudy silver chandeliers above the booths with bright white, daylight LED bulbs. I didn't know if I was in a Subway car, hospital or at a Crafts table. Overall a ZERO. It's not possible to give a lower rating on this app. The worst!

   Staff very kind, helpful, and attentive. Was very surprised to see my medium rare steak overcooked to medium well at best. To their credit, they were immediately responsive and attempted to fix, however the second steak wasn’t significantly closer to medium rare. Maybe the grill was too hot? Otherwise apps and drinks were very good. Maybe we give them another shot in the future.

   We celebrated our anniversary and they made it so special. The filet was so tender and the zip sauce was delicious. We are looking forward to spending many more special moments here.

   Not a cheap experience by any means, but you get what you pay for! We come to Capital Prime at least two times a year! The ambiance, the food, the service and the experience is worth it every time. We have yet to have a bad experience there! The steaks are phenomenal, and the toppers or sauces offered are great to! I would recommend this place time and time again if you’re looking for a intimate and classy date night, anniversary dinner or other occasions!

    The appetizer, salads and steaks were outstanding. The 5 oz salmon was okay. The prices are higher than seems reasonable, however. We will save this restaurant for special occasions only.
