First class meal in a lovely setting. Serving staff were first class as well, although there was a bit of a wait but they did explain that as soon as we arrived. Its a popular venue locally, so booking is definitely advised. We haven't been for a while, but we will certainly be back.

Overall a good meal in a nice pub restaurant. Food was good quality. I had the steak pie main which had plenty of nicely cooked beef. Wife had the ham and leek pie but she didn’t particularly enjoy the taste although, again, it had a good amount of filling. My chicken wing starter was a bit disappointing. 3 small wings for £6.95 was pretty poor value. Nicely presented but double the quantity in a basket would have been better received! Wouldn’t mind seeing a slightly improved selection of desserts. Service was excellent and the restaurant itself is very pleasant to eat in. Overall, a good meal but it felt a bit pricy for good pub food. We might be back again for a special occasion but unlikely to make it a regular thing.

Party of 7 for bar lunch, lovely wee place spotlessly clean and freshly decorated, Penne Pasta was excellent, Steak Pie was tasty although a bit dry, the staff were attentive and pleasant Whole experience was spoiled as the place was freezing resulting in some of our party choosing to eat their lunch with winter coats on, there was a coal fire which wasn’t / could have been lit, we were there early 12:30 so possibly heating was on but not had time to heat up the place sufficiently

Lovely cosy restaurant. Sat in one of their booths and it felt cosy and private. Good food choices and top marks for providing gluten free options. The food was very tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful.
