This was an almost laughable disaster of a night. We had a reservation (which we had confirmed) for 7 pm on the 14th. When we arrived, there were at least 10 people in front of us, and we were told that it would be at least 30 minutes even with our reservation. As we waited, the line ballooned to more than 30 people. The host was not turning walk ins away, seemingly telling everyone it would be 30 minutes. There was no obvious order to the seating. We finally were seated outside (we had reserved a table inside) at a bare table (no silverware, no glasses, nothing) and given menus. After 30 more minutes, when no one had come to check on us and we watched several other people get up and leave, without being served or acknowledged we left. On the way out, the table behind us said they had been waiting for an hour with no food; we ran into friends who had been waiting almost 2 hours for their food (they were ok because they bought a pie from the bakery across the plaza and ate it while they waited). The folks running Maguey clearly did not know what they were doing and likely ruined many people’s nights. Would not make the same mistake again.

We did not actually dine here. Showed up for our reservation at 7 PM on Valentine’s Day. It was very crowded, looked like they had way overbooked. We were asked if we wanted an inside or outside table. We said we preferred inside. We were told that there were two couples ahead of us (also with reservations) and that if we took a table outside, we could be seated immediately. Tried to roll with the punches and took a table outside. We were given a basket of chips and menus. That was the only person that we saw. We finished the chips in about 15 minutes. There were five or six other tables around us and we did not see any servers at those tables while we ate the chips. There was still a very long line to get into the restaurant, which we did not understand since every table was already filled. As stated before, they way overbooked for Valentine’s Day. We were very disappointed, ended up leaving. Will absolutely never eat there again.

Christmas morning, my mom, my daughter, and I decided to try brunch at Casa Maguey, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the festive atmosphere and warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The highlight for us was their bottomless mimosas! Not only could you choose from classic orange, but they also offered sangria as an alternative, which was a unique and delicious twist. The drinks flowed freely and added a celebratory touch to our meal. The Mexican buffet was nothing short of amazing. The spread was full of authentic dishes that tasted homemade. From tamales to pozole, everything was flavorful and satisfying. They even had dessert options that left us tempted for seconds! The staff was attentive, keeping our glasses full and the buffet refreshed, even though it was a busy holiday morning. Overall, Casa Maguey provided a perfect blend of delicious food, great drinks, and warm ambiance. It was a memorable Christmas brunch for the three of us, and we’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommend!

Good selection of food, nice ambience. I know everything goes up this past few months, but I think it’s overpriced.
