   Mixed Experience: Beautiful Setting, But Service Needs Attention The thatched roof and beachside breezes create a picturesque setting, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. From the start, the wait staff seemed overwhelmed or disorganized. We were accidentally served another table's appetizers, and our drinks were mistakenly delivered elsewhere. When our main courses arrived, only three meals were served; the fourth was missing. After waiting 30 minutes and asking repeatedly, the missing dish arrived—but it wasn’t what we ordered. We had expected sea bass, but were served swordfish instead, with an explanation that "it takes a long time to cook." That didn’t quite add up since sea bass typically cooks in 6–10 minutes. The confusion continued when we requested the bill, only to receive another table's check. We spoke with the manager, who attributed the issues to the kitchen staff being off, but that didn’t account for the many front-of-house miscues. The setting is undeniably beautiful, but a couple of other minor details detracted from the experience: we were given only two menus for our table of four, despite the restaurant being less than half full, and the lighting was so dim that we -- and nearly every table around us -- was using phone flashlights to read the menus. We hope the team takes this feedback constructively. The location and atmosphere have so much potential, but the service needs significant improvement to match the setting.

   December 30. Just too many people for the staff to handle. They tried their best. Food was pretty good but not great. I'm sure if you are staying at the hotel it's a great option. We did not stay there.

   It’s worth the visit. The views are outstanding, nestled right by the ocean. It was about 15 mins from downtown so not an expensive taxi ride. The wait staff were very attentive. They were out of the appetizers I selected so I only ate a main dish and glass of wine. A simple shrimp and fettuccine dish. Overall, I would say it’s worth visiting.

   The food, drinks, and service did not disappoint. Paired with amazing ocean views, Casa Maria is a must every time we are in Tulum.

   Excellent restaurant. We went at night, and sat under roof, since it was cloudy and rainy. Somewhat pricey, but believe it or not one of the more affordable high-end restaurants. Excellent food, and great service.

   The service was beyond amazing. The chicken with mole was outstanding. Having dinner by a quiet beachfront is ideal.
