   This was my second time visiting the restaurant and it was even better than the first. The service is always excellent and the food never disappoints. Will 100% be visiting again, new fave pizza spot!!

   Casa Mia Osteria is fantastic. It has a neighbourhood, family feel about it, with super friendly staff. Sean and his team were so welcoming and made as feel like we were at a family dinner. The food is fantastic, great considered menu - the spicy pepperoni pizza and the ragu pasta were hits! The prawn pasta has a good amount of heat and rich flavour. All of the dishes were excellent. Solid cocktails, reasonable prices and all round good vibes. Perfect for groups as the atmosphere is lively.

   Our second time at Casa Mia, and again they were understaffed. Basically one guy running tables and a young guy 'fresh off the boat' who could speak almost no English and knew nothing about how to wait tables in that restaurant. The negronis came without Campari, and the steak was smaller than it was the previous time we went there. Because the one waiter, yes, one waiter was completely run off his feet all night, there was no attention to us or the quality of the service in general. The restaurant was half full, yet still we felt everything was in a crazy mad rush. The second time in 3 months we've eaten there on a Saturday night, and both times the restaurant was understaffed and we struggled to get attention and get the service we wanted and expected from an a la carte restaurant.

   This is 'proper' Italian - unlike so many in Sydney. Food was excellent. Highly recommend.

   We recently dined at Casa Mia , an Italian restaurant in Newtown . The experience was fairly decent but not extraordinary. The ambiance was cozy, with a rustic décor that gave it a somewhat authentic feel. The staff were friendly. We ordered drinks to start , classic Negroni and Bellini. The Negroni was unbalanced and slightly watery , while the Bellini was almost all peach syrup and we had to water it down to make it drinkable. The menu offered a limited variety of classic Italian dishes. To eat , we ordered, frito misto (fried calamari) for entree and then a pizza , pasta and dessert . The cacio e Pepe pasta was flavorful but lacked the richness I expected. The portion size was on the smaller side and the presentation was quite basic. My dining companion had the prosciutto pizza, which was fresh , well wood fired , not soggy in the middle , base was well cooked . Overall good but not exceptional. The end of the meal was the tiramisu which came in a glass cup. It was moist and on a sweeter side and had some coffee flavor. Lacked any biscuity texture, but ok. The wine and cocktails selection was decent, but nothing stood out as particularly memorable. Overall, Casa Mia provides a satisfactory dining experience if you're craving Italian cuisine. It’s a good spot for a casual meal, but it might not impress those looking for an exceptional culinary experience.

   Love this restaurant - largish group with a myriad of dietary needs and the service and food couldn’t have been better. Thank you so much to the team at Casa Mi Osteria 😍

   Everything was good, except that when we arrived, having booked, we were told that there was no room for us. My husband walked out, but I insisted and eventually we were shown to a table. After that the service was great.

   The specials were limited, meat focused and meant for fat wallets. The wine list was marked up high for the quality of the offerings. The menu is limited but what we had was tasty. They forgot our coffee and desert but it was consistent with the service. Some people will like this place. For us it had a vibe if you were known to the management

    Great. But pay attention to the bill - they automatically included a 10% service charge, which is not common in Sydney. IF you tip, keep that in mind. The server covered up the actual check with the credit card machine so I didn’t see the bill. Seemed like a bit of a scam for ignorant diners.
