   I was placed in the corner at the bar immediately next to the server’s computer station. I can’t think of a worse restaurant seat in the last 20 years. Although most of the tables were empty I was offered to sit outside if I would be more comfortable. I used to look forward to getting the grilled octopus when I was in town for work. It used to be a large portion and very delicious. They have intentionally reduced the serving by 75%. The serving was so small I know I was being ripped off. I ordered a flavored drink which came in a miniature martini glass for 18.00. Three small sips and it was gone. Apparently the restaurant has decided to miniaturize its servings. I quickly left and canceled my reservation for next week. I won’t be back.

   Food was absolutely phenomenal as was the service. We will definitely be back. Decor was nice and it’s a high energy place. It’s a little too dark. I’m not that old and had to use the iPhone flash light to read the menu. Also, we were literally less than a foot away from the tables next to us. I really don’t like that. It makes it difficult to have a good, private conversation with your significant other. It was really uncomfortable. Seems like a good spot for a group, bigger family, couples date type deal. Food and service trumped all though.

   I had a wonderful experience with great food and a lovely environment! The ambiance was inviting, and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Our waiter, Gabriel, was fantastic—very attentive to all our needs. Tim, our favorite bartender, is always a vibe and recommends the best delicious drinks to complement the night! He makes me feel so special, and the drinks are spot on! Casa Pantera truly made it a memorable birthday celebration.

   The best steak I have ever had. The Guisada was also the best I ever tasted. I am not sure if I’ll be returning to El Paso, but if I do, I’ll be stopping here.

   We miss the old tiradito, everything else was amazing as usual. I recommend the octupus, no one in the area does anything close to it.
