   To make a long, negative story short: if this place wishes to maintain such high acclaim- they need a new management staff. My partner and i have worked in food service a long time and what we experienced from our prefixed menu, confirmed reservation, over $400 meal was absolutely unacceptable. We confirmed our reservation well in advance, we still waited over 45 minutes after our resy time to be seated. When we voiced our frustration-we were told to be patient by the host, no mgmt acknowledgement The server was amazing, could sense our concern and voiced that he also had a rough night...yikes, no managerial support and we obviously weren't the first people upset that evening. The main courses were extremely disappointing. The pasta was so unappetizing the server immediately noticed and brought out our next plate. I ordered wagyu, medium. It came out so well done I could barely cut through it. We were trying to remain positive for dessert when we were informed they SOLD OUT??? it's a prefixed menu. As a manager, you know how many reservations there are, and should have enough to at least cover the RESERVED desserts for the PREFIXED menu. So instead, we were offered a microwaved lava cake that was so bland-Trader Joes wouldn't even sell it. The experience was an exhausting series of unfortunate events, and out server was overwhelmingly apologetic for things that occurred outside his control. At this point, we were already confused why a manager had not checked in with our table-then the bill came. We were overcharged for the seating that was advertised at $150. We mentioned this to the server who promptly had the bill fixed. As part of the industry- we know that price corrections on a bill require a manager. Yet, still no manager ever apologized, offered to make it up to us, or even introduced themselves. For over $400, we were hopeful for a premium romantic dining experience, but got unmanaged chaos. Thank God I wasn't planning an engagement proposal!

   Food and ambiance were excellent. Service was slow and a little inattentive. Our reservation was at 5pm and we were sat very quickly but we did not leave the restaurant until almost 8pm because our server would leave us unattended for an extended amount of time.

   Jonna was our server and he was nothing but amazing, overall had a really great time, food was delicious service was great definitely recommend coming here, a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it 10/10 forsure,

   Simple & lovely!  I recommend if it’s ever your first time one of the great and best experience ever!! Shout out to the waiter that attend us very great person!! CastAway we will return again!!!

   We’re returning customers who’ve visited Castaway multiple times with family, friends, and overseas visitors. The reason for my poor review this time is the hostess who seated us. She seemed like she was trying to hide us—even though we were well-dressed—by first seating us indoors. When we asked for an outdoor table, she took us to a very small table in the very far corner, even though there were larger tables in the center that were also seating just two guests. When we mentioned that it was too far in the corner, she suggested another small table in another corner. It was a Monday, the restaurant wasn’t busy, and there were plenty of open tables, yet she acted like we had no other options. It really dampened the mood. On a positive note, Gerald, our waiter, was wonderful and salvaged the evening with his great service.

    The view was beautiful, but unfortunately, our experience with the service and food was disappointing. The food was cold, and the drinks didn’t meet our expectations. If you’re looking for great food and drinks, this might not be the best choice!
