   The students of the CIA from the front door to the table take excellent care of you. The students in the kitchen take great care n preparing the meals that come out and they were all delicious. I love to ask the wait staff what year they are in at the school and about their studies. They are always generous with their time and their knowledge.

   You can tell there is a clear focus on providing diners with excellent food and outstanding service, which I'm sure the students will carry with them as they move on from the institute. Great experience.

   Food was a mixed bag . For appetizers the pizza was half burnt, but the calamari was delicious. For dinner the market fish portion was very small, the short rib however was huge. Sides on both main courses were delicious. Deserts were both very good. Service was lacking. Water constantly refilled, but ordered a drink three times before it arrived. Tablecloth was never cleared of crumbs between courses, yet some other tables were.

   Whether you dine during the Winter with incredibly discounted prices or during the rest of the year, this restaurant is the best value for excellent food and service. The menu is somewhat esoteric, and there is always something for everyone from the serious carnivore to the vegan. Today, my wife had a shaved brussel sprouts with parmesan cheese on top over a vinaigrette with sorrento lemons. Truly a delicious appetizer loaded with flavors. I had the pulpo (octopus) with braised fennel and blood orange that was cooked to perfection with layers of complementary flavors. The rabbit leg with creamy polenta with a puttanesca sauce was very tasty along with my wife's branzino over braised radicchio and surrounded by a winter squash puree. Desserts were complex and not too heavy so that we could actually finish them.

   We had a spectacular and delicious lunch. Everything about CIA and the Caterina de Medici Restaurant is superb. The service and attention that your customers are given by your students is wonderful and very much appreciated. Your attention to detail shows and it is something that all other restaurants should aspire to. Keep up the great work. We have been to CIA many times, with different people and everyone we have ever brought there has always been impressed with your facility and the quality of your establishment. We most definitely will keep coming back again and again.

    The 4 lunches were excellent. One entree came out cold, but the student waiter quickly and politely solved the problem by bringing out a new plate. The students, as always, were great servers and waiters—they also described each wine offering very accurately.
