From the moment we walked into C’est La Vie, we knew we were in for something special—but what truly made the evening extraordinary was our incredible server, Benjamin. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail turned a lovely dinner into a memorable experience. Benjamin struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy the evening. He anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, offered insightful recommendations, and made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, the food was divine, and the service—thanks to Benjamin—was nothing short of exceptional. We left feeling pampered, well-fed, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a magical night out, C’est La Vie is the place—and be sure to ask for Benjamin. He’s a gem!

This is one of the best dining experiences in Lancaster. The atmosphere is upbeat and lively without being so loud to drown out any conversation. We had an early dinner at 4:30 in order to catch a 6:30 show. We were able to have a relaxing meal without any pressure to move along. Our charming and skillful waiter, Michael was a huge part of that success from appetizers to dessert. Great tasting food and presentation are their priority. The smoked trout macaroons were a lovely and delicious surprise. My husband had the New Zealand Salmon. He said it was cooked perfectly and melted in his mouth. I enjoyed my Bouillabaisse, a wonderful French staple. Michael also helped guide us with our beverage selections by providing helpful information and meaningful suggestions. We split the Chocolate Rocher for dessert. If you like something sweet after a meal, that’s the one to choose. We just want to thank everyone there for making our experience memorable. We are happy to share our impressions with others and will definitely come back for another visit. Special thanks to Michael. 😉

Tasteful food but the dish would be a little bit bigger (2 more agnolloti would be perfect). Nice options of red wine. Service wonderful.

We eat there frequently. The service is wonderful and we like everything about the decor and ambience. The food is okay. It is not the best in Lancaster within walking distance. Bistro Barberet has much better French food. C'est La Vie's "bar food"--fries, handhelds is really good, but the step-up to fine dining lacks that extra savory sauces and vegetables you'd expect. At one point in the past, they went from pommes frites to potato tots. Had those in college, but never in France. But, they did go back to bar fries. So, mixed opinion on food. Drinks are exceptional and wine list varied and good selections. Staff is great.

We enjoyed sandwiches for lunch. The short rib was tender and unctuous piled high. The flounder was ample crispy and matched perfectly with the slaw. The Alabama chicken a great surprise special. Serving sizes were split in two for anticipated enjoyment tomorrow. Finally the espresso martini from the dessert menu is impossible to resist.
