Established in 1983, Chamard Vineyards, is one of the Connecticut Wine Trails founding fathers. Tucked between the Long Island Sound and the Connecticut River, Chamard enjoys a unique marine micro-climate ideal for growing European Vinifera vines such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir. To produce “French Inspired Wines from the Connecticut Shoreline” has been Chamards mission from the start. As a farm, Chamard honors agriculture by partnering with fellow growers and producers to pair food with wine in celebration of Connecticut’s local gastronomy.

    Carianne is the best! We love going back for the food and the wine, but mostly because she’s so sweet and professional. She has the perfect personality and the Bistro wouldn’t be the same without her.

    The food and wine were excellent. We had the salmon, chicken and steak frites and every plate was empty. It is a beautiful setting for a nice lunch.

    This winery is so pretty. I love inside too. Fireplaces, good food, great service and good wine. What more do you ask for. Highly recommend

    We had a lovely brunch at Chamard. The vineyard looks so pretty in the Fall and it was a great choice before heading to the Clinton outlets. Our wait staff were so friendly and helpful, especially with gluten free options, making my friend a special French Toast which was delicious.

    The town of Madison recommended the winery as a place to visit. It was a wonderful experience. The food and wine were great. The atmosphere was wonderful, service was excellent and staff informative. A very enjoyable brunch in a welcoming winery.

    The dessert was the weak point, otherwise food was outstanding (five stars). Lighting was bright in the room we dined in. Service was good at first but our waiter was also handling tables in the other room. Would go back, but would dine in the other room.

    Love this place. Beautiful building and grounds. Food is wonderful and the staff is attentive and friendly. My wife and I have become regulars. Nice place to relax and unwind on a Friday evening.

    Made reservations then I sent an email to request the wine tasting room. Was told that the high chairs are for the tasting room so I requested such. When we got there we were seated at the restaurant. Was told changes couldn’t be made. We were there for dinner and for the wine tasting experience and that doesn’t happen seated at the restaurant. We were a group of 5 and really looking forward to the wine tasting room experience. It is disappointing since my family came from NY. I’ve been going to Chamard for many years. Will try other wineries now.
