   Excellent dining experience! The decor for new years was great but ended up being a bit loud! The staff handled it very well.

   Best restaurant in all of RI! The staff are tremendous especially our waiter Dan. The prices are far less expensive for the same meal in Paris or NYC. They have amazing soufflés and fabulous cocktails like the French martini. Go asap you won’t regret it!

   The restaurant is cozy with a modern aesthetic. The seating is pretty tight, since it is a small restaurant, but the table was spacious and the chairs were comfy. The food itself was just good. We just ordered entrees. I got the chicken with sherry leeks and truffles, which oddly I did not taste much of either. The chicken itself was very moist and well cooked. I think I was most disappointed with the service. Were were served cocktails right away, but it took a very long time for us to get our order in...well over 35 minutes for the captain to come back to our table. We ordered the famous soufflé (which has to be pre-ordered) and it was never even added to our order. At that point, we had been there 2.5 hours (just having entrees) and we didn't want to say anything to the captain because we did not trust that if we ordered a different dessert, that it would be served timely. I don't think we will be returning, I'm sure there are other restaurants in the area with the same quality of food that has better service.

   Wonderful meal. Exquisitely prepared with phenomenal service. Our Captain, John is a wonderful host. All dishes were amazing and there is no better fine dining at this or any price in Newport or Providence. Our compliments to the chef! Chanterelle has improved on the fantastic dining experience under Bouchard's. Keep up the great work. We will return soon. Highly recommended.

   Perfect evening in all respects. Dan, as always, was a major contributor. Our starters were escargot in an artichoke,garlic sauce and beet ravioli. Both were superb. Entrees were scallops and halibut both in terrific French inspired sauces. The bottle of Sancerre was a perfect accompaniment. All in all a memorable evening,AND, reasonably priced!

    Food was excellent. We had the escargot, chanterelle, sole and duck, and shared a “must-save-room-for-this” grand marnier souflle. Service was outstaning as well. Our maitre d’ was polite, pleasant and attentive. Both the food and the check were prompt. My husband likes to judge a restaurant besides its food and service, by its restrooms: they were meticulously clean :). We drove 90 miles to come here, and would deinitely come back again, perhaps for an overnight stay with couple of days enjoying Newport.
