    Waited 45 minutes for soup to arrive and then when the main course came only one of our dishes came, no staff available to report any issues, we just paid and left. Valentines night was always gonna be busy but that just took the biscuit, will not be returning

    Long wait time for food on a night where it didn't look that busy. Out of the 2 hours being there, about 40 mins was spent waiting for our food.

    We had a nice evening, plenty of choice on menu and service was quick. Food was very greasy, mainly starters and chips and the hotel had no proper red wine glasses, which when paying €31 for a bottle of wine you would like a proper glass. But overall a nice experience.

    The desert was the only thing that let it down the starter and mains were amazing as was the service

    Lovely meal. The atmosphere was very good did not feel rushed. The staff are so nice. I asked for special rum in my cocktail and the bar man went and got the rum from another bar on the premises. The attention to detail was lovely they had Christmas crackers on the table. The food was lovely and hot. I asked for a dessert that was not on the menu and there was no problem getting it for me.

    We booked a standard table in the bistro but when we got their the place was empty and they only allowed us to sit on a high table with kids or move to the bar that had same menu. Child hit head off table so had to move. The first table we were moved to in the bar was two square and one round pushed together. We waited a long time for food. While waiting they moved us again to a normal table in bar area. Food arrived and standard has decreased from our previous experience and for what you get example the salmon was way overpriced. What was meant to be a nice birthday meal out in a restaurant ended up being in a busy bar which we could do anytime. Two hours later when I went up to pay the bistro still had all the lovely empty tables. Such a disappointing experience and we will not be rushing back anytime soon.

    Myself and my family have dined at Char Bistro a couple of times now and each time the service we received was brilliant. The food has also been very tasty. I would highly recommend Char Bistro.
