Charley's Steak House is owned by the Woodsby family and has operated in Florida since 1974. Charley’s serves only three-year-old USDA prime and choice Angus steers, aging them four to six weeks for tenderness & flavor and hand-cutting the steaks daily to ensure consistent quality. The steaks are then flame-broiled over Florida citrus and oak wood in a custom-built pit at 1200º searing in the tantalizing taste that has made Charley’s the #1 steakhouse in America every year since 2007! Charley’s philosophy of providing only the finest extends from the kitchen to the wine cellar. The wine list approaches 1000 selections from scores of exceptional wineries around the globe.     Overpriced below average steaks. Poor quality made worse by an excess of salt. Our server was excellent, full of energy and showmanship. Unfortunately, the food did not match his presentation and service. Overall the food was marred by an overuse of grease and salt, overpowering the natural flavors of the meats. The scallop appetizer was unevenly cooked, and the fried calamari was soggy and too greasy. None of the steaks was cooked at the requested temperature. One undercooked the other two overdone. We never add gravies or sauces to the meat as we enjoy the flavor of a good quality cut. Now we understand why someone may want to do that here as the meat was dry, way too salty, and hard. The side dishes suffered from the same problem. We never complained because in our experience, if you pay this much and have to send it back, it makes the experience worse. I definitely will never come back or recommend this place as a high-end restaurant

    Brian was super attentive to our table. He did an awesome job explaining each cut of meat, and the aging process. His recommendation’s made our business dinner that much more enjoyable!
