   Lovely food, service and menu. Tables for 2 quite tight/close together but it is a small cosy spot!!

   Had a lovely experience yet again in Chez Max. Had the mussels to start, absolutely gorgeous and then had the rib-eye steak cooked medium, really tender and very tasty. As ever the staff were very attentive and welcoming, this really is a lovely restaurant, never lets you down.

   As always a lovely lunch with always consistent quality of food from one visit to another. Chez Max is always a pleasure to visit with good staff and great food. Only one small suggestion is to have one more fish choice )not shellfish) on the lunch menu

   As usual, the lunch special was excellent and very good value. I could almost claim to be disappointed because it wasn't brilliant--which it sometimes rises to--but that doesn't seem quite fair. My guest was delighted with the croque madame, which is my default dish if for some reason the special doesn't appeal to me.

   Food was excellent, very reasonably priced, quick and polite service, and a really lovely setting. Rated it moderate for noise but I never struggled to hear my companion, it's just a small space so it gets boisterous! Would highly recommend for a date night or a special occasion with a small group of friends.

    Was amazing as always. We go once a year and Chez Max has never dissapointed us. Staff are very attentive and polite. The heated outdoor steating is definetly our favourite area of the three. And the price is always affordable, especially when we were students.
