The Tatami tasting menu was perfect and the wine that was paired with it was very good.

Here’s your review with the chef’s tasting menu details: — I’m still on a high from this meal—absolutely incredible! We did the chef’s tasting menu, which took us on a journey through 10 different dishes, each one more amazing than the last. As a Peruvian, I can confidently say this place nails the flavors while elevating them in the best way. The lomo saltado was perfection, the ají de gallina was rich and comforting, the arroz chaufa had that perfect smoky wok flavor, and the causa was beautifully balanced and fresh. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. And let’s talk about the pisco cocktails—perfectly crafted, smooth, and dangerously good. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. The ambience? Just as amazing. Warm, inviting, and the perfect backdrop for such a special meal. And for the sheer quality and variety of food we got, the value was unreal. I left so happy, so full, and already dreaming about my next visit. If you love Peruvian food (or just insanely good food in general), you need to eat here!

The food was amazing and our waitress was really attentive and helpful. Especially given that it was Valentines day and the restaurant was very busy. She stayed on top of things really well. My primary complaint is that when we checked in upfront the manager there immediately told us that they were trying to turn tables over Quickly and that we had until 715 to complete our meal. This is before he even said welcome or thanked us for dining with them. I understand the reason for saying it, but it was definitely offputting to have that the first thing he said to us. That alone is probably enough to keep us from coming back again, despite loving Jose Andres restaurants.

We picked China Chicano for our anniversary lunch celebration, and it didn’t disappoint! Everything that we ordered was fantastic. We especially loved Dancing Yucca and Jaladito Norteno. Our Hannah was nice and friendly! We are definitely coming back with our children!

As with all Jose Andres' restaurants, the food was imaginative and excellent taste. Here, also, it was clear the wait/service staff were well trained--helpful information from the waiter, food served quickly even thought there were a huge number of diners, and the plates were cleaned/water filled quickly.
