   We were the only diners at 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon, so we had excellent service and a relaxed meal with friends.

   Great food and service. They were busy looks like they could have used more staff. But everyone did great. Music was a nice touch to our evening. We had the prime rib. Very good.

   I love this place, and I will definitely go again. Their eggs benedict is delicious, and so is their prime rib hash! The biscuit was also good. Unfortunately the music was really loud for a Saturday morning and it took over an hour for our food to come, and we were the first customers. The server seemed a little stressed, so maybe something was going on behind the scenes? Typically, when I go to an upscale restaurant, I expect more soft, quieter music. The last time I went, they were playing Frank Sinatra and that Era music, and it was so wonderful and classy. Also, the prime rib hash, although very good, hardly had any hollandaise sauce on it.

   Food was superior as always. Service was friendly but subprime. We were a bit "rushed". In and out in 45 minutes for a romantic Valentines dinner was disappointing. Server was very nice but non-attentive. He had us order our entree at the same time we ordered appetizers & salad. It all came up very fast, almost together since it was a limited menu. Food came and we were never checked on, no water refills just the check. I said may we see a desert menu. It was weird. He was so nice but just not attentive at all. The limited menu was a bummer. A website warning would be nice. We were both craving the regular salmon dish and it wasn't even offered. This is the second time a limited menu hindered our experience. We were quite surprised on Mother's Day with a party of 12 (6 kids) and it was a buffet. Just the kids were $25 a piece and none of the food we were raving about to our guest was even available. The food is too good not to go again. We love to support them. Mild inconvenience is worth the excellent food experience. Chira's is a must try for any foodie.

   I have heard many good things about this resturaunt and it was our first visit to Chira's. Overall it seemed to be an average to good dinner. Unfortunately, we had a limited Valentine's menu to choose from so I think to be fair a second visit is in order. I am not convinced the dinner we had was worth the expense but it was a very busy evening for staff and that may have played into this overall review. The reservationwe made didn't really seem to help with seating.

   First time visiting for Valentines dinner. I had a reservation for 5 pm but was late due to weather. Arrived at 5:15 and was quickly seated by a friendly staff member. Our server arrived within minutes to provide water and get an appetizer going. He was very polite and efficient even though the restaurant was totally booked. Also took our drink order. Both came back quickly. We ordered the calamari which was excellent, as well as the Pinot wine. We ordered the Chicken Cordon Blue and the Blacked Tuna. Both these dishes were outstanding and would order again. The portions were good size with fresh asparagus and the fish came with a large portion of rice and a beautiful sauce on top. The chicken came with mashed potatoes and another great sauce. Can’t say enough about this food and the atmosphere of the restaurant ! The building is warm and cozy and beautiful with brick walls and wood beams and sky lights! The noise level was nonexistent. I could not hear conversation from other tables. All and all this is a Diamond in the rough in Salem. The staff runs like a well oiled machine. I encourage everyone to dine here. The only thing I wished was that they offered a dessert since it was the V day. This place will become a favorite for us. Cheers

    Our food was delicious and our server Elana was fabulous. Plus there was wonderful love music that we all really enjoyed!
