Located on Main Street in the heart of Smithtown, Chop Shop is one of the newest restaurants to arrive on the North Shore. The restaurant’s interior is accented with brick, hardwood flooring, large retro lamp fixtures, and a unique hand painted mural. Chop Shop is stylishly furnished with a professionally run bar.

Chop Shop is the perfect place for casual dining and special occasions, as well as corporate gatherings. Begin your dining experience with a drink selection from our extensive wine list, which offers a variety of great selections, or choose from our exclusive martini menu. Chop Shop’s menu specializes in a variety of sizzling steaks, fresh local seafood, exceptional pasta dishes, seasonal specials and delectable house made desserts.

Open for dinner, reservations are accepted for all size parties. Chop Shop also offers a function room, accommodating private gatherings for 6-20 people, available Monday through Sunday.

Third time dining. Took good friends. Melvin remains our stellar waiter. Our friends enjoyed the baked clams appetizer, my wife the goat cheese salad which she shared, and myself the sushi once again. All delicious. Got the pistachio crusted grouper special for a main course while my wife enjoyed the swordfish over a bed of risotto, which she enjoyed thoroughly. Two slices of Key Lime pie for desert and everyone left happy! We travel a bit to reach this establishment but each time it has been well worth it.

My wife and I went for our 35th Anniversary and the staff treated us like Royalty. The food and drinks never disappoint!! Chop Shop is awesome

Extensive menu, very fresh fish prepared with delicious vegetables, sauces, and all kinds of different pasta's. Also plenty of meat and poultry selections. Service is great, management and owner is great and the place is very comfortable. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Can't go wrong must try this place.

We just felt everything was very overpriced. A wedge salad for $19 is insane to me. We were a party of six and a few of our meals were not hot.

Our daughter gave her dad a gift certificate for his 75th birthday because she loves this place. We absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was excellent as were our drinks. And the topper for us is great service. Melvin was our waiter, and he could not have been any better. My husband had the stuffed shrimp, and I had the halibut, both were amazing. My husband chose his dessert, and they brought it out on a plate with Happy Birthday written on the plate and a candle. I noted in our reservation that it was my husband's 75th. Overall, a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back.
