   Saddend by our experience at a highly rated restaurant. Service was great, ambiance nice, not too noisy. We sat in the bar because we couldn't get a table in the restaurant at the time we wanted. Seated immediately, wait staff quick, friendly and attentive. Menu doesn't have dozens of selections, which means to me that they cook well the food on the menu. We both had the prime rib - the star of the menu. The cook was accurate - medium for me, medium well for my wife. But the quality of the roast was not good. Fully half of what was on our plates was inedible - fat and gristle. I've had prime rib in many, many restaurants, and this was the worst I've ever had. The Brussels sprouts were good, the squash should have been peeled before roasting, and the mashed potatoes were, well, flavorless. The gravy (served on the side) looked/tasted like it came from a mix. Tried a mini creme broulee, hoping against hope. The custard was very nice, not too rich, and nicely firm. But the crust was slightly burnt. It left a slightly bitter aftertaste. Over $60 each with no alcohol or coffee, and a generous tip - the server did a great job and wasn't responsible for the poor food. We left, as I said, saddened. We won't be going back.

   Excellent meal. Prime rib perfect and halibut delicious. Valentine special. The salads were very tasty and fresh. The desserts were yummy. Our server Patrick was efficient and so nice. Lovely evening.

   We had a really nice time on Saturday evening. We were a party of 5 celebrating a 50th birthday so I wanted us to have a great time. The restaurant was busy but the noise was totally fine for discussion and of course the ambience was superb. Service was good, our server was efficient and very pleasant. The drinks took quite a while to arrive, I understand the bartender was in training. Not a huge deal and the remainder of the refills were much more on time. Food timing was reasonable (a little slow) but we weren't in a huge rush so gave us time to chat. Food quality was OUTSTANDING and everyone loved their meals! Overall, a lovely experience. Only reason not 5 stars is the price point. A little steep for a party of 5 but it was a celebration meal so we didn't skimp. We wouldn't be able to dine here every month but this place is my go to whenever I've got a special occasion to celebrate. One of the best restaurants in Calgary without a doubt!

   Our server Lauren was beyond helpful. We were celebrating a birthday there. She happily made substitutions for us and gave us truly superior service with a smile. We will be back and hopefully we will luck out have the pleasure of her company again. Well done everyone. Wendy B
