Chop was created for people who love sharing, connecting and everything steak. We are proud to offer a menu that shares our commitment to sustainable beef sourcing, serving high-quality cuts of 100% Canadian beef. It isn’t just the meat that’s special – it’s also how we cook it. Our Montague broiler cooks at up to 1800 °F, giving a beautiful crust and flavour to every steak! We slow roast our prime rib in a humidity-controlled oven, keeping it mouth-watering and tender. And we put this level of care into each of our hand-crafted drinks, and from-scratch dishes, including plant-based and seafood options, with something for everyone to enjoy. All of this quality comes with friendly hospitality in warm and energetic rooms. Open for lunch, happy hour, dinner and late-night!

As always, you guys never disappoint. Food was amazing, service was still top notch while it was so busy in there! I can’t remember our servers name but he was excellent.

The pistachio crusted cod was poorly presented. It was a blob on top of my cod instead of fluffy like last time I had it. Sauce lacked flavor. I was disappointed.

Girlfriends and I went for dinner to celebrate a friends birthday and we had an amazing time! The atmosphere was great, a staff member brought over a complimentary appetizer, we had delicious meals, service was excellent and they even brought out a birthday card and dessert for the birthday gal. Was our first time and we will definitely be back!

Great experience! Food was good. Crème Brûlée was divine! They brought some free treats for us as it was our first time at the Ottawa location. Our server was also great! Would definitely come back here.

My fiancé and I finally had a night away (we have five kids between the two of us) and we decided to eat at Chop. We had reservations for 8pm and didn’t have to wait at all to be seated. The waitress was very nice and the food came out pretty quickly. The steaks (ribeyes) we’re good but the sides not so much. The Brussels sprouts were very dry and cold…seemed like they’d be out a while and the rice pilaf I ordered was very salty. We normally do not complain about food at all wherever we go as neither one of us is picky however when you pay that much for two people to dine you want to more than enjoy it! My fiancé’s cauliflower rice was very good. I wished I had ordered that as well.

Love the restaurant and the people and the vibe I wish we would have one in my area but it’s definitely worth the 40 minute drive

Fantastic experience each and every time we come here! The staff is fantastic and the food is delicious and well priced. I really can't say anything negative about this restaurant! Try the steak bites, they are priceless!

I took a 30 min uber to this establishment as I saw great reviews. When I got there, I got my table, it was nice. But it took the server a long time to get my water. I wasn’t feeling too good and just need water. I left because the wait was too long.
