   We eat at Chops a couple of times a year because we absolutely love the food, and service is top-notch. This last dinner put a bad taste in my mouth. I used Open Table to reserve my table of 6 for 7p. I was given the choice of a Standard meal or the Valentine's meal. Since it was not Valentine's Day, nor did I like the pre-fixed menu, we opted for the Standard menu. When we were sat, we were given the Valentine's menu. After explaining this situation to the server, we were told there was nothing she could do. After more discussion, they somehow were able to "allow" us to order the bone-in filet, truffle fries, and calamari that were not on the Valentine's menu. The food was exceptional, as always, but other than our server, Kirsten, service was poor. I would go on to say the 2nd server, Tamer, went out of his way to be sour. It was our first time in the dining room and our last. We will stick to downstairs in the lobster bar.

   We have enjoyed the food and service at Chops for more than 20 years. It remains our favorite restaurant for a special occasions and romantic dinners. However, we have noticed that the clientele has changed significantly, which has reduced our satisfaction with the dining experience. We are hoping that Chops will re-Institute a dress policy that is more representative of a five star dining experience. Also, we were not a fan of the Valentine’s Day menu. Although there were many options, we felt nickel and dime with the additions we selected for Cyde dishes and appetizers. We ended up spending a lot more than we normally would have for the same meal. Nonetheless, we remain loyal patrons of our favorite restaurant! Thanks!

   Service was ok at best - Mac n cheese was watered down rarely any cheese, needs more development- filet was good- ambience was good but overall food was overated

   The food and server were great. Especially our appetizers, the lobster was superb. The one downfall was there was a loud child sitting next to us who was very active. This took away from the experience, especially considering the amount of money that was paid. However, overall, I would definitely visit again, but request to be seated in a non-child area.

    Had an anniversary/Valentine’s Day lunch here and it was outstanding. Much better then overall than The Lobster Bar downstairs. Friendly and great staff, service and food. Highly recommended
