My group loved our experience at Church and Union. The brunch options were delicious, the atmosphere stunning, and our server Bree made our graduation celebration special. Thank you C&U! Highly recommend getting the southern salad, donuts, steak, and crispy meatloaf benedict and topping it off with a few mimosas ;)

We had a fantastic experience at Church & Union... even with our own personal obstacles, which included us running late arriving due to weather and traffic, which resulted in us having a short time before we had a show at DCPA. We explained our "issue" with our server and he took wonderful care of us. He even stopped by to give us a 10 minute reminder of the time we told him we needed to go! Food was wonderful... roasted salmon excellent and the ahi perfect! We look forwarded to returning when we have time to eat, drink, and relax!

We purchased the $75/per person mothers day brunch buffet for 5 people. I expected for $75/person for the food to be top notch. The food was very much a regular style buffet. Our reservation was for 1pm and the buffet was empty mostly. They refilled things occasionally but it all seemed very average and not up to par with what was advertised. The server told us we got either a bloody mary or mimosa with the buffet, we ordered our drink but they came out after we finished the majority of our food. Most of my family barely ate because the food was not great. The restaurant was not busy for Mother's Day. I worked in the service industry for 10 years prior to my current company and mother's day is the big day in restaurants, this seemed very relaxed. No lines at the door. My server took a 20min smoke break outside while we were there for our 1 hour "brunch". I purchased this brunch to take my mom somewhere special and overall me and my brother felt bad afterwards because it was so underwhelming. To pay nearly 100$ per person, with tax & gratuity and then to walk away still hungry and disappointed is just sad. I wanted to show my mom better, I wasn't looking for pans of breakfast food that was made the day prior and warmed up that morning. There was some smoked salmon and short rib slices, but besides those two meat options everything else was very disappointing, including service who acted like he knew the tip was included so no extra effort was made. Good to know for the future. I just hate that this great brunch I imagined with my family ended up being something I was embarrassed for choosing this restaurant. It's just disappointing overall.

We went for the Mother’s Day brunch. Disappointing experience for the price. Waited 15 minutes to put in a drink order, waited another 15 for the drinks (I had to go up to the bar to pick them up myself), a menu was delivered that listed what was offered at the buffet, however after waiting in the buffet line for 15 minutes, much of what was on the menu was not available. We ended up eating scrambled powdered eggs and average bacon. Then, to top it off, there’s a 15% service charge automatically added to the bill for a family of 4. With so many restaurants in downtown Denver, there are far better options.

Great service and taste of food, but they had a hard time keeping up with the buffet traffic so some things were cold or out.

Buffet Brunch at Church and Union might not be the best choice for them. I'd say, try a day for regular brunch and maybe it's for a younger crowd.

We booked Church and Union for Mother's Day, and I have to say, it was pretty awful. Calling the food (a breakfast buffet) mediocre is generous. Drinks (either a mimosa or a bloody Mary) were included in the price ($75/person, which is ludicrous, given the value of the event), but the mimosa was essentially "cheap champagne with a drop of orange juice," while the bloody Mary was marginally better because the mix was homemade. The staff was overworked, leading to long waits to be seated and long waits to get drinks and short tempers (we observed one family getting into a pretty heated argument over how long it was taking to get a table); food stations were frequently low or empty, and people while people stood around waiting for them to be refilled, they often had to wait for clean plates, too. It seems to me, if you're going to host a Mother's Day brunch, you should probably commit to it, rather than doing it half-way, which is what today felt like. We paid over $400 for something that didn't live up to the promise of the day, which was disappointing. Our stressed-out server did his best to keep things moving and everyone happy, and we had a nice time together as a family, so the morning wasn't a complete loss.

Went for Mother’s Day brunch. Food was mediocre and pricey. The buffet line was out of numerous items both times we went through. Not alot of choices for the cost. Didn’t enjoy sitting in the basement on a beautiful day. Disappointed for sure.

The calamari pasta and trout were delicious. Steaks were overcooked. Music was WAY too loud.
