We were so looking forward to this much-hyped place, but were disappointed in the food. Undercooked pasta (no, not just “Al dente”), tasteless sauces, greasy and gamey lamb. At least the corkage was a bargain at $19.

Excellent! Great food, awesome specials. Service and ambiance were amazing. Birthday celebration was very special with Polaroid snapshots by our server. Thanks for a great evening!

We had the most wonderful meal for the first time at Ciccia with my family. The pasta is homemade, the desserts are Italian classics with a Mexican twist, but most importantly Mario the chef and owner is running the show. He treated us like we were regulars, very generous with a great sense of humor. The food is simple and delicious and you can tell Mario and his partner pour their hearts into every dish. Now get up and go try this wonderful Italian osteria!!! it won’t disappoint you, unless your favorite restaurant is Olive Garden.

not your usual american red sauce restaurant. some interesting and refreshing choices. good to see a focus on more italian food than italian-american staples.

The food here is fantastic. The gnocchi is one of the best I have ever had. The service is always great and welcoming and just an overall great place. We make the trip out there as much as we can. (live in La Mesa, CA) Highly recommend.
