From the OpenTable editors: Chef Tandy Wilson has eight James Beard Award nominations and one win under his belt for the innovative pizza and Italian fare he slings at City House. Wilson tops blistered pie crusts coming out of the woodfired oven with the likes of house pork belly ham or local and seasonal veggies, plus ensures there's very little food waste in dishes such as bread gnocchi with cauliflower ragu that uses up leftover pizza crust.     We had an exceptional meal at City House. The food was flavorful and hearty. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful to us in making our meal selections. City House is a gem. I will definitely go back if I ever visit Nashville again.

    City House is a Nashville gem. Sunday Supper Catfish, Chicken Sugo, Gnochi and the salads were all spectacular. We fiinished it off with the ice cream sandwich. We love the unassuming attitude, the warmth of the House and the "happy you are here" staff. They never fail to deliver.

    Our server Lucas V. offered great suggestions on the wine choices and was full of information about the menu. The catfish, pear salad and mushroom lasagne were delicious!

    I hesitate to post as I don’t want more traffic as City House, but…whatever. This place lives up to ALL the hype. Food it amazing, yet a small menu, and Sal the bartender is the man!!!!!! We live in Germantown and this is one our “go to” recommendations!!!!! Dress casual and have fun - you won’t be disappointed!!!!!
