   Clam chowder was great. Lobster pot pie (3 received) had a hard (what they called puff pastry) on top but it was as bad as Hartack! Beware of the parking out front. Our hosts told us the $5 parking fee was free if you eat there. Not true as we found out we each got an $88 ticket. If you don't have a phone you won't be able to pay the fee because there's only a QR Code to send you to their parking app. BTW, I spoke with Claudio's manager and he said they would have given us 50% off the parking fee if we had asked (how about a warning to be sure to pay for parking because it's highway robbery in fines!) Kind of leaves a sour taste in our mouths and not from the food!

   We waited an extremely long time for our food. When it arrived the order was incorrect. The service was not good. Had to flag down waiter for drinks and status.

   We have been going to Claudio’s for over 40 years. When out east, it was our favorite place. Whether for dinner or just stopping in for a drink and some baked clams.. we haven’t been since new owners took over, but definitely wanted to try it. We went on a recent Friday night hoping to get a seat at the bar. No problem. We sat the bar for over two hours and were the only people there. The dining area had a few customers. First, I have to compliment the bartender. Very gracious and certainly entertained us. The floor manager even came over to chat. However, the food was meh. I wanted baked clams and lobster bisque. Only soup was clam chowder and corn chowder which was tasteless. Just puréed corn…not even a spring of parsley. Order Old Bay shrimp . 5 large shrimp that looked good, but they forgot the old bay. Even cocktail sauce had no flavor. And to my horror baked clams had mushrooms in them. YUK. Husband had pot pie…bland. I have always loved sitting at the bar and looking at the very cool antique back bar, which has now been replaced by square box type cubbies. Old cash register gone. , Much more of an nyc vibe. Bright lights, banquets. Etc. Not the homey atmosphere we were used to…Now, the wine! $18 for a glass of wine that I know sells for around $15 retail for a bottle . This is wine country. Don’t know if they had Long Island wines but bartender didn’t offer any. Oh and to top it all off we got a parking ticket for parking in their empty lot. Only a square to scan in order to pay. I’m old..I don’t scan All and all a big disappointment. As Thomas Wolfe said. “You can’t go home again”

   Food was average (except for the excellent clam chowder and mussels). Lobster was significantly overpriced.

   We had a 7pm dinner reservation on Saturday night. Both fish entrees were not available that was a big disappointment. This is not the busy season in Greenport. Our waitress, Mara, was very sweet. The manager never came over to our table to apologize or offer an explanation.... Clearly they are lacking in hospitality.

   The food is mediocre. They are living off the location near the water. Understaffed and not particularly friendly staff. entree options limited and below average. I won't go there again

   The fish and chips were fantastic. Our table outside was wonderful. The service was excellent.
