Perfection! Fondue, followed by duck and scallops, were excellent. Absolutely delicious. Service was superb. Our party was delighted.

As French food lovers we have high standards. The beuf bourgiugon and salmon dishes were fine but we had to send back the quiche twice. It was undercooked and not well prepared. Also, the instructions about salad didn’t materialise which is unfortunate. Lastly the profiteroles were mediocre. However, we will be back. We have been jere many times before and like the atmosphere and are hopeful chef will get it right next time.

As one of our local resturants for over 10 y, we have used to be very happy at Cognac UES. Not so this time. We had some table issues due to the fact that they placed 5 people at a table for 4. Resulting in very little space for waiters to pass behind our chair. Changed table and told the responsable people the reason. Still an issue, but more surprising within 8 min they placed a new couple at the table we just had left next to us and the situation contiued now with a domino effect. On the food side I had Dover sole and ordered Fries. Had to send the fries out tweice since they were burned and uneatable both times. Upon leaving I tried to talk to the responsible person present but meet very lillte understanding for our side. We took out the fries from the bill was the response we got. This is just not what it used to be like, but it seamed like they did not care. And as all of us know there are lot of other restaurants on the same block

Brasserie Cognac, with its modern take on the classic French menu , is a gem. The service was efficient and friendly and the food excellent. The wine list offered a thoughtful selection of French wines at reasonable prices and the dinner offerings boasted broadly appealing: favorites: duck a l’orange, coquille St Jacques, boeuf bourguignon, Dover sole, among others. The menu also offered salads and lighter dishes as well as a variety of desserts. I had the halibut with risotto and my friend had the duck. We both enjoyed our dinner enormously and highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back soon.
