This restaurant housed in a former bank building in the heart of downtown Tipp City offers quality dining in a small-town setting. The decor is warm and welcoming and is a delight for the senses. The fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere while the full bar allows patrons a relaxing stop while awaiting a fabulous meal. The inviting atmosphere encourages relaxed conversation. You may be surprised to find that a restaurant in such a small town has some rather sophisticated choices on the menu alongside your more normal fare, with entrees such as ostrich being offered. If you are looking for a decadent dessert, look no further than the butter-drenched English Tea Cake! An easy drive from all points in the Dayton area, words cannot do it justice. A visit is a must and will be the first of many.

    Our service and food was great. We had the fillet and the duck dinners. Both were delicious. We wanted to order a side salad with their cucumber dill dressing, but they said they no longer offer side salads and they don’t have the dill dressing anymore. We were very sad as the dressing was delicious. We did order the kale and wedge salads that were good but missed the dill dressing.  We also enjoyed the “wine down Wednesday” offer.

    I had the Halibut with bacon risotto. It was absolutely divine. Fish perfectly cooked and HOT, beautifully garnished. The Halibut filet was thick and generous. Best part? Also gluten free.

    Excellent Experience Every Time! As always, the staff was incredibly friendly, and our server Casey went above and beyond to ensure we had a truly memorable dining experience. I ordered the salmon, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—moist, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The soup of the day, Mushroom Bisque, was rich and delicious, bursting with deep, savory flavor. This continues to be my favorite restaurant, thanks to its remarkable consistency in service, food quality, and overall atmosphere. I can always count on an exceptional experience here!

    Never fails to impress and satisfy. Took friends from Colorado for their first CC experience, and they are world travelers and accustomed to fine food. They raved about the mushroom bisque and the duck. Service was spot on which is a given at CC. The ambiance is pleasant but never stuffy. Score yet another great dining experience at a restaurant that has few rivals in the region.

    As always, great service and great food at the Coldwater Café! Our server, Kristine was very prompt, courteous and friendly! The food as always was delicious! Highly recommend to anyone for a wonderful dining experience to seek out cold water Café!
