We ordered a variety of entrees and appetizers. We ordered the buttermilk biscuits, which did not disappoint and the deviled eggs, also great! The biscuits are large and can easily be split and shared. We ordered the shrimp and grits, Green Goddess salad and the crab Benny. All were delicious. I appreciate they offer half orders. The Bloody Mary was spicy and refreshing. Our server was attentive, even though it was Mother’s Day and the restaurant was crowded. Will definitely go again!

Deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes and fried chicken biscuits were all delicious! We were a group of six and all of us loved our brunch selections.

After paying to reserve my reservation for Mother’s Day and checking in before my allotted reservation time, the hostess would not seat us while the 2 remaining guests of our party were parking and reluctantly and rudely seated us after I noted that I wanted to have starters and drinks on the table when my MIL arrived for this meal. It was not a pleasant start to the meal. The food was good but the biscuits and gravy I ordered were lukewarm warm when they arrived to the table as was my husbands sandwich. We ordered 1 orange juice and it was delivered to the table, later in the meal another was brought by a different waitress saying we ordered another, which we had not, they told us to keep it and comped it which I feel was the correct thing to do but the whole meal experience on Mother’s Day was subpar.

Yesterday I decided to visit Colleen's Kitchen for the first time. The reservations were easy to make. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. It reminded me of my friend Ms Colleen Johnson. Just a laid back and fun place. I'll be back again.

The menu is the best part of this restaurant. Food sounds really good but all our meals were disappointing. Sauces were overwhelming in the shrimp and grits and crab cakes Bennie. Chilequiles were boring. Kids’ waffles were served without syrup, which was odd. None of our meals were served hot. When there are eggs involved, that’s pretty unappetizing. The waiter never checked on us so we didn’t have the opportunity to comment. Also, can I just say that so many restaurants these days spend way too much time clearing dishes including this one- very disruptive. I recommend the wait staff pay more attention to the food part of the service rather than the tableware.
