The Colonnade at the Vi is a very exclusive dining experience, but for those who can, it is worth the effort. The new chef has done wonders this year in improving the quality of the ingredients, the variety of the menus and the flexibility in preparation. I am very impressed and see the Colonnade continuing to make progress. ironically it seems just as the offering is proving in almost every way, reservations have become more available. same day requests are possible.

With this temporary BUFFET style due to a major kitchen remodel the food and energy seems to have lead to an uptick in my feeling and experince at the Vi dining rooms...both the Colonnade and the Club!

I could not cut through the English muffin under the eggs Benedict. Otherwise the meal was very good. The desserts were excellent.

One of the residents could not shew the steak. She had to get another entree. Also the asparagus is too thin and has little taste. We can do better.

Carrot cake was all icing and little cake. Cake part was firm and not a cake texture. Otherwise a good food.

It would be wonderful if the buffet had some changes in its selections and appearance. Somehow there is a sameness to it.

Somehow the once excellent muffins have become denser, sweeter, and less appealing. The option to have scrambled eggs and salt, pepper, butter and chives would be a good choice. I wish also that the bacon were thinner and crispier, rather than thick and somewhat leathery. I know people are trying very hard to make it special. Just a little variety would be appreciated, like thin pancakes.
