The "Hidden Gem" of DIFC, COPALA brings the best of our Mexico to you. Where the Mexican community comes to feel home away from home, and feel transported after a bite of our famous Quesabirria (melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket marinated in birria sauce, crunchy cheese crust over a corn tortilla, served with birria broth to dunk it into), our beloved tortilla soup and our unique goat-caramel Mexican flan. A warm welcome and Mexican hospitality is in our DNA, so whatever the occasion or mood, COPALA is your answer. We are 3 very proud Mexicans (including our head chef Adan M. Naranjo) who want to share our culinary heritage with you, the REAL one, which unless you have lived or travel extensively through Mexico, it is unlikely you've truly seen it. The "Taco de Oro" accolade awarded to COPALA stands as a testament of our uniqueness and authenticity. After all, we do fly weekly 70% of our ingredients all the way from Mexico!

My Mexican friend heard great reviews from her Mexican friends about this place so we gave it go. It’s located within a mall. It’s a cafe /bistro type set up. I do wish restaurants bring back paper menus note that Covid is largely sorted. Looking at menus on your phone is not a great experience. My friend picked the dishes from the menu. She thought they were ok……nothing great to shout home about. This place also didn’t sell alcohol. The manager is Mexican and explained they were in the process of changing the menu etc and accepted her comments on the chin. It’s an ok place if you want to fill a hunger hole but nothing special. The avocado nachos was delicious though!!
