   Food great, ambience wonderful , service very poor! Took more than 1 hour for main course to be served after our appetizers . Ordered broccoli and received asparagus instead . Side dishes only arrived when we almost finished eating our main course . Won’t go back.

   The service was really bad. I don't know if our server was new but he didn't check in with us. After 15 mins I had to ask him to take our drink order. He didn't refill the sodas.

   Absolutely recommend the Sunday buffet. It was a totally beautiful experience. Just perfect for our Anniversary.

   We had a lovely experience- Isabella Was our server and she was FANTASTIC! The food was perfectly served and delish- the atmosphere was beautiful

   Overall, we were disappointed with our experience at Cardova. There were a couple of outstanding highlights, such as the she crab soup, branzino, and atmosphere, but they couldn't offset the negatives. After being seated, we noticed that for a dimly lit romantic environment, it was incredibly loud. This could be accounted to the historic design of the hotel/restaurant space. Our server was pleasant but didn't offer any highlights to the menu. She introduced herself and then asked if we knew what we wanted. I'd expect that out of a diner experience, but not a high-priced chop house. There wasn't any explanation of dishes, what the daily catch was, highlights to the menu, or recommendations. When we asked, she answered without elaboration. For example, when we asked about the daily catch; she responded with, "it's the red snapper." We had to pull it out of her how it was prepared, what vegetables were with the dish, and any pairings that might go with it. When it came to the food and drinks, it was hit or miss. Again, the she crab soup was great. The grilled octopus and pork belly did not pair well together. The sauce base, though good for the pork belly, did not go well with the octopus. That was also served cold after being grilled. The pomme frits seemed like the same frozen "fast food" fries I get from the grocery store with parmesan sprinkled on top. When it came to drinks, the signature old fashion and margarita were nothing special. Other minor gripes I had included having to pay extra for bread and butter, and our server never refilling our waters. All these things together lead to our less than stellar experience at Cardova.

   We had a fantastic dinner. Marvin, our server, was excellent. Great food. Nice menu selection. It's a gem in St. Augustine.

   The restaurant was able to adjust the dishes to all our dietary restrictions. Everything was delicious and the wait staff did a great job

   We are locals and this was our 2nd recent experience at the revamped Cordova restaurant. Finally this restaurant does justice to the great venue that is the Casa Monica! Excellent food and service!! Very nice atmosphere and set-up. Cost is reasonable for the quality level. Highly recommend.

   Reservations were at 11:30 am and TWO hrs later we still had no food. We had a show to attend at 2:00 and asked if the food would be coming out soon. The waiter never told us what the problem was but told us “no, I’m sorry it will not”… really sad!

    This was the second time I visited this restaurant. Unfortunately this time was during Nights of Lights. We had drinks at the bar then dinner in the restaurant. I was not allowed to use the restrooms in the private areas of the restaurant. I had to stand in a 30 person line. The other people at my table had almost finished their dinners by the time I got back. This is unacceptable. The food was just okay. We’ve had better food at other restaurants. I don’t think I’ll visit this restaurant again.
