From excellent service to Chef Samuel McCandless’s creative process and presentation of local and faraway foods to gorgeous cocktails and Spanish wine to dad-joke-level birthday jokes delivered with dessert, this was a perfect special occasion meal. (Unexpected, but the octopus dish has ruined me for anyone else’s preparation of that tricky protein.)

I just feel for the price the overall experience was was middle of the road. On a positive note, the tenderloin was delicious, as were the deserts and the cocktails . The endive, mushrooms and focaccia was nothing spectacular. The wait staff did not have the polish or demeanor needed for a fine dining experience. Our waiter was awkward and hovered around while we were trying to carry on conversations. He did not get our social cues of no eye contact when he approached the table. Also , my personal opinion is the wait staff should have a set uniform of some sort. Our waiter had a puffer vest on and hiking boots at 7:00 in the evening. And another waiter who had an accent said he was from Colorado, but was studying Bavarian? Bavarian? So a fake accent? Both waiters we had were awkward and made it uncomfortable. The manager compensated us $25 on a $300 tab. He was personable and tried to make it right. During the summer the patio is fabulous though! Everything tastes better on a patio with the view of the Flatirons. Maybe, last night was just a bad night.

Good food, not great. Main issue is how overpriced this place is. Then hit you with a 5% topper at the end and they had no decipherable explanation for it, first it was employee insurance, and a few minutes later the correction was for 'extended benefits' . As stated, food was good but they do have a great wine list. Will not return, value is not there.

The experience and service were excellent, and the food was delicious. However, the price seemed a bit steep compared to the actual value. Some dishes justified the higher price, while others didn’t.

Best fine dining experience in Boulder. From the view to the service to the cocktails and wine list. This establishment is doing things right. Family style, flavors on point and very accommodating for vegetarians and steak lovers alike. Highly recommend for a festive evening.

Other than needing to move tables due to sitting by the door to outside dining, all was great! And they were very accommodating about that as well. Favorite was the anchovies in oil with grilled bread. Mmmm

We had a marvelous birthday dinner. Mostly bushed on the shared plates. The anchovies were especially delicious; everything was excellent!

The service was wonderful but the food was over priced and just okay. Nothing to get excited about. I am not sure why it is calling itself a Spanish restaurant. The only thing Spanish was the menu and the olives and anchovies in the limited tapas.
