   WE enjoyed a wonderful lunch to celebrate our our anniversary from our wedding some 42 years. Everything was just perfect and a lovely touch with a free glass of prosecco for both of us. Thank you

   I always enjoy eating at Cote Brasserie. The food is always very good. The service is always efficient. It has always been a very positive experience.

   Outstanding from the moment my wife and I walked in to celebrate her Birthday, a fact I had informed the restaurant about. This led to a Happy Birthdsy greeting from the Manager and two glasses of fizz appearing as soon as we sat down. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The food quality was outstanding. I asked for the chef to know how well my steak had been cooked. It almost triggered an emotional moment which was strange. The restaurant was very busy and so we were given two table options to compensate for differeing noise levels. The crowning glory was my wife's creme brulee arriving with a candle on top. Our best restaurant experience ever and we are seasoned diners. There needs to be a Glasgow restaurant where we live. The Manager was very visible during the shift I noticed and the waiting staff were incredibly efficient.

   We are regulars at this Cote branch. We had boooked many weeks in advance asking for a specific area in the restaurant. Our requests are normally accommodated. On this occasion, we were unsuccessful, which was disappointing. We were seated instead in a sub-optimal part of the restaurant. The steak frites - normally excellent, was sub-par; the meat was tough and the dish was not as warm as it should be. The staff and service were friendly and excellent, but could in the end not alter the reality of a slightly disappointing evening at the restaurant.

   We have used Cote, Bath many times and always thoroughly enjoyed it. Yesterday, however, was very different. We started by sharing the whitebait, it was nice, but very small, not to the usual standard at all. I followed with the Chicken Grille and it was thoroughly overcooked, a very meagre portion of sauce, admittedly when I complained they brought me a small jug. The people at the next table said theirs was the same. My glass of Merlot was very good and my partner enjoyed his steak and his beer. We then shared a cheese platter, which was laughable, I know it was meant as a single portion, but the portions were minute even so, lowering your portion sizes isn't going to bring in more customers.

   Nicely located restaurant with outside terrace. Ideal for al fresco eating. Food was generally good -this is a place we have often ate at over the past 7 years. This time the costs were noticeably higher and increased by an automatic 12.5% service charge -so the menu prices are deceptive. Of course the service charge is ‘discretionary’ but this isn’t mentioned by anyone.

    Very pleasant evening- their menu has improved since our last visit. Cheery efficient waiter - which makes a change these days. Will definitely return.
