The starters were generally good, except for the Camembert, which only came with two small pieces of bread. We had to order extra. The main courses were fine overall, the steaks were acceptable, but one was extremely fatty and gristly. The sauces, unfortunately, were terrible. The coffee liqueurs were luke warm and very disappointing. While the staff did offer to remake them after we mentioned it, we were still charged £7.95 each, which felt unfair given the issue. Our seating at the front of the restaurant felt more like a café, with a cold draft every time the door opened. The seating at the back of the restaurant, which was empty, looked much more comfortable. Finally, the 10% service charge wasn’t clearly communicated, which came as a surprise when we received the bill.

We booked for 8 for a Christmas Eve brunch. Our table was perfect, tucked away in an alcove with a beautiful view. Great service, good food, a delightful experience all in all and a great start to Christmas celebrations!

Our starters included scallops on a bed of peas,, the scallops had been cut in half to trick the diner into thinking there were a good helping. Our mains took half an hour to arrive only after I had tried to catch the servers attention twice. Table was sticky. The Christmas menu includes tumbled turkey with faux flavourings. Our crème brûlée were both served without the accompanying pineapple. Rather a disappointment all in all. Better places by far for a meal out in Cambridge that’s for sure.

Stunnning place to eat for breakfast. They gave us a coffee on the house for my bfs birthday. Will definitely be returning! And I will add- we were sat next to a lady who can only be described as an aristocratic snob, who completely changed a dish and sent her breakfast back for no good reason… utterly ill-mannered and insolent. The staff response was very impressive & professional. Sincerely, a full and satisfied customer.

Pleasant welcome. Busy restaurant. I was a sole diner and well cared for. You can’t help listening in to conversations but the two chaps on my left seemed to have so much to say that the highbrow intellectualism was beyond me. However , food very good, crab starter and very decent fillet steak, nice chips and small salad garnish. One glass of wine , around 50 pounds. Côte is a chain but this seems a very good link in it.

Côte de Boeuf should have been medium cooked but was more like well done. It did however, taste great. My frites were a little too overdone too - crispy without any soft centre. We did very much enjoy the meal and didn’t raise the above as an issue. We were hungry! I think the restaurant were well aware themselves anyway.
