   Some Cotes are well lit and decorated- this one is overly bright and very tired - it feels like a tired suburban restaurant from the nineties. Food was also disappointing - chicken salad had overcooked chicken and some really quite nasty croutons with the consistency and taste of foam rubber.

   Didn’t feel they had enough staff but the ones working were working hard! They were putting everyone on one side of the restaurant on top of each other so we asked to move to the other side with more space. The restaurant was lacking ambiance.

   I feel that there are problems here. Two Managers have left which indicates an underlying issue from top/owners down. Staff turnover not good for this business. Won't be rushing back.

   We booked for NYE online but weren’t aware that it was a fixed price menu until we arrived, hence the restaurant wasn’t full by half empty and lacked any atmosphere. My Welsh rarebit and crab starter was cold but was replaced and s complimentary glass of cremant was given. The duck was very good

   Food was lovely we were a table of 5 for New Years Eve & the set menu was such good value ! Just the service we received let it down with the waiter / waitress serving us seeming very disinterested & not wanting to be there ! Half of our first drinks order was forgotten and it was incredibly difficult to run around the restaurant desperately trying to get someone to bring the bill. The manageress was focusing on one table only & ignoring everyone else !

   Was all a little chaotic service was not the best. My niece’s steak had to be sent back as they got the order wrong seems to be a problem with cote nationally service is not what it used to be or quality of food. Disappointing all round

    Friendly welcome and immediately reviewed our allergy requirements. Given a tablet to check the ingredients as our allergies are not on the usual list. Attentive throughout the meal. As always excellent food enjoyed by all of us. Always recommend Cotê.
