Food was reasonable but overpriced compared to other restaurants, and took longer than it should have to arrive. Downstairs is dated, our area was dirty, and mens toilets are disgusting. Disappointed

Very busy during lunchtime. Long wait for waiter. Then pressure to order quickly. After the main course no one came by to take a dessert order.

Christmas office party carnage in a basement with very loud music made our quiet dinner impossible as we couldn’t hear a word. Should have known better! But our server couldn’t have been kinder or better. Food was as Cote does - fine.

I’m a regular and was disappointed on my last visit. We usually have the bread and olives as our starters and then once we’ve finished we’ll have our mains. Last night, we were sent our mains after we’d literally just received our starters. We told them to take the food back, which they did. When we were ready for our mains, they arrived but instead of cooking us fresh steaks, they had simply kept the food warm which gave a powdery texture to the filet and of course it was overcooked. It was inedible. Even the fries looked dried out and they’d forgotten the cauliflower so had to quickly make up a batch which was barely cooked and almost raw. If this was our first visit to Côte St Paul’s, I wouldn’t be going back, but I know they can do better. I’ve had many a fantastic evening dining here, so I’ll put this down to a one off

Not the best experience. Understaffed so one main didn’t arrive, which made for an uncomfortable lunch. We did negotiate down the bill! I do like the food at Cote, but the prix fixe was not available.

This restaurant is best avoided. We booked a table here for breakfast for 10.30am. The restaurant was very quiet with only one or two other tables occupied. We were a party of four. Two of us ordered the cooked breakfast with fried eggs, both asking that the eggs be soft. Both came with eggs that were rock hard and looked as if they’d been cooked the day before and reheated. The whole breakfast was overcooked and had obviously been kept warm for several hours. It was a shocking example of how not to serve breakfast. The other two breakfasts, scrambled and poached eggs were also overcooked and poor. We complained and the eggs were replaced but no apology was given. I asked to speak to the manager and he couldn’t be found. Not a restaurant I could recommend or intend to return to. What has happened to Cote ?

Always find the food delicious here - would recommend the pate and vegetable dip starters but you can’t go wrong.
