   Overall good- we were at a table right by the door so a bit cold. Service was excellent.

   We went here for my sons 12th birthday and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were so friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The food was really good, the kids menu especially was great value. Would definitely go back.

   I was really disappointed with the half chicken dish from the main menu. It used to be much better, it came with a little green beans/side salad/garnish. Now there are a few wilted parsley sprigs. For £20 I think that’s over priced. I also think the mains on the children’s menu are not healthy.

   It was my son's birthday, and the table was decorated and a birthday card was waiting for him. His desert was offered, as well as a bottle of cremant due to the waiting time to get our food.

   The waiter was very good however there were not enough staff..we waited almost an hour to place an order which is silly. We did not get our mains for an hour a half (we were sat at 6.00pm but food did not arrive until 7.30pm). There was also a family next to us whom played children’s videos with the volume turned up and it was just bizarre experience! Great value but clearly not enough staff or kitchen staff to service the guests.

   Lunched in early celebration of daughters birthday with her partner and my son. It is our favourite restaurant, wonderful food, lovely waiting staff and such a comfortable relaxed venue.    We booked two days in advance and can appreciate that means we get one of the worse tables near the front door so you are subject to people coming in and out, holding the front door open, and making it uncomfortably cold. The tables are very close together so the noisy family with the uncontrolled children intruded unpleasantly on our ability to even have a conversation. We did ask the parent for some control in desperation but I ask when did Cote become Mcdonalds? The french onion soup has been downsized from a magnificent tureen serve to a very small boring soup bowl with less volume and body in the soup. It's a better size for an entree but it's not as good as it was. The chicken classic dish was good, not out of this world but good for a Sunday roast chicken lunch. The front of house gentleman was attentive and switched on and run off his feet. The young lady who served us was also good, pleasant and attentive. They were the best part of the lunch experience. It was a nice lunch but not as good as it was and not as comfortable an environment as it used to be.
