   Fantastic meal for our first anniversary. Arnel was a great server and very attentive, we had shishito peppers to start and the Quail burger and spinach & artichoke ravioli for mains. All food was excellent. Had blueberry pie for dessert, so delicious!

   Service was excellent. The food presentation was elegant and the flavors came together beautifully in each course. Good combination of textures that complemented The food. Will be back

   Well, we were extremely excited to eat at the Covey Grill because the Monterey County Weekly named the restaurant as having the best local gourmet burger. So, I made reservations on Opentable for 2 at 2pm on Friday and we arrived 10 minutes early only to find that it was closed. My wife and I turned to the receptionist and asked when the restaurant would open. 4:00 she replied. I mentioned I had confirmed reservations and she indicated that those reservations would work at their other restaurant at another location. When I mentioned Optentable, she said yes, the system takes reservations for Covey Grill but you have to eat at the other restaurant. Oh, are the menus the same? No. Look, Quail Lodge, please get your act together. This isn’t hard. Two restaurants, two accounts. Put your patrons first.

   Wednesdays have a prix fixe menu. We had the surf and turf appetizer which was underwhelming, too much bread for the topping. For the main course we all had the halibut, which was overcooked and therefore a little dry. The flourless chocolate cake for dessert was amazing. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere welcoming.

   We enjoyed a very nice dinner outside overlooking the lake on a very nice evening. They did have outdoors heaters for when it cooled down. We had the Heirloom tomatoes and burrata, and the beef & courgette skewers for appetizers and they were fresh, cooked perfectly and delicious. We could have stopped with those 2 items, but also ordered the whole roasted branzino, the roasted salmon, and the 14oz pork chop. All were very good and cooked perfectly and the items were hot. So happy we dined there and can't wait to return.

    The food has changed over the past six months and the farm to table offering is no longer available or not emphasized as in the past. Need an update on menu and new options.
