Poised high above the Dallas skyline atop Reunion Tower, Crown Block offers a culinary experience to surpass that of the typical steakhouse, complemented by an approachable, stylish environment in celebration of all things grilled, seared and roasted. A fine balance between steak, seafood and plant-based cuisine, featuring ingredients from regional farms, ranches and the Gulf of Mexico. The Rare Steak program embraces a range of offerings that includes Prime Beef, Texas Wagyu, and Japanese A5 Wagyu and is complimented by a sushi and chilled seafood display, a dessert bar with pastry chefs in action, as well as signature craft cocktails and an extensive wine list.

Wine and dine on another level with breathtaking views of the city. This isn’t just a steakhouse, this rises above them all.

The ambience is great if you get a window table. If not, you’re on the inside and it’s not the same. I miss how the ball use to turn very slowly, that was really cool. When you get off the elevator there isn’t anyone to greet you to know where to go but you kind of figure it out. My son didn’t realize the etiquette way to not put his gum in his cloth napkin. I explained to him what to do in the future but asked the waiter if he could have another napkin. A lady came to give him another napkin but felt she had to tell him in the future ask for a paper napkin because they had to throw away the cloth napkin due to the gum. The way she said it to him was rude to me and rubbed me the wrong way. There is always a way to provide a teachable moment and that wasn’t the way. He’s a teenager and learning and that’s why I try to expose them to more fine dining for the future. The food was okay, I’ve had better and for less. You’re paying for the view.

We had a family dinner celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday, and unfortunately we did not have a good experience, at first the server attention was very good, but surely in his hurry to finish his work quickly since we were his last table he wanted to do everything very fast, telling us to order everything at once because the kitchen was going to close, when they served the appetizers we asked for a little more bread and apparently he forgot and then he told us that the kitchen had already closed and there was no more (20 minutes later) I got upset and he then brought us the bread when we were eating the main courses (30-35 minutes later) my family had not finished drinking their cocktails and he told them to order another one because the bar was going to close, we had not finished eating the main courses yet and he brought us the dessert menu because "the pastry kitchen was also going to close" my cousin was still eating some french friea and without realizing it they took all the plates including that almost new plate from the table because they were cleaning the table quickly to bring the dessert and then we sing happy birthday (they didn’t wait even five minutes for us to finish eating the main dishes), also the server when he gave us the bill told us that the 18% that was already included in the ticket was very little and that it affected him and the other servera, that he recommended us to put a little more tip because people who didn’t tip them well (very bad that the server tells a client that he has to tip and also “recommend” an amount). Something additional is that the server recommendations were always limited only to the most expensive options , I understand that the most exotic and expensive dishes are the chef’s suggestions and they are delicacies and that’s why it’s a little more expensive than the rest, but there is an extensive menu and it could have a balance in recommending other dishes without limiting itself only to the most expensive items

The food and service were great. The environment gave luxury. It's disappointing that the restaurant doesn't rotate but still an enjoyable experience.

The atmosphere was wonderful and our waiter was amazing! However, when we were checking in downstairs, the man asked me to keep my coat on because they have a dress code. We were well aware of the dress code when making a reservation. A woman rushed over looked at me and said “no he’s OK. He is within the dress code.“ While there was no issue with my clothing, the gentleman‘s first response did put a damper on our evening and made us feel a little bit “less than” while eating in the restaurant. We usually dress up very nice with suit and tie and elegant gowns, but we were going ice-skating after. We had to walk a fine line of dressing nice and yet dressing to go ice-skating for the Christmas season. We were both a little self-conscious, my girlfriend and I, after he made that comment, in front of others.

Perfect ambiance and service. ******************Warning about the valet: Do NOT scan the QR code on the ticket as it takes you to an unrelated website that skims your credit card information. You’ll receive various recurring charges.

We had a fantastic experience for my birthday. The server was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We were amazingly surprised with the variety of food stations. Needless to say, food was plentiful and delicious. There was a light breakfast area, a seafood station with fresh oysters on a half shell. Soft drinks, coffee and tea are included in the brunch price. However, they also had fresh orange, cantaloupe, pineapple and even orchata. Now, if you are interested in the views of Dallas downtown and its surrounding, you will not be disappointed. All in all, we had a fabulous experience.
