It was closed for construction and they haven’t updated their reservation system.

We have been going to CRU as long as they've been in the Domain. Our teens (who started going there with us when they were toddlers) always look forward to CRU. The menu has been consistent during the whole time and while CRU isn't a Michelin Star restaurant, it has typically been very consistent. When we arrived last night, we were surprised to lean that they had redone their menu and removed a couple of reasons we go there year after year. My oldest has loved their steamed mussels since he was 6 years old... gone. Their option for a filet mignon which was a go to for my wife (and recently, my youngest son)... gone. And more importantly, the items we did order - salmon for my oldest and my wife, scallops and risotto for myself, were edible, but not delightful. I'm sure we'll give it a try further down the road, but the experience last night was disappointing and the menu change will make it less likely to have everyone excited about making the trek to the Domain for a family dinner. And while I typically have no problem with the price that comes with a nice meal, the $300 bill only added insult to injury. Granted, I had a flight of wine (nothing exorbitant) and my wife had two glasses of (house) wine and we did have dessert, I was a little surprised by the tally when it arrived. Of course, if the menu hadn't disappointed (along with the execution of the meals we had), the bill would not have been worthy of a mention, but all things considered, I regretted the decision to spend our Sunday evening there when all was said and done.

Our favorite place. The service and attention given to customers is outstanding. The food and wine are made even better by the intimate and charming ambiance. Love being at CRU!

My wife and I visit Cru at The Domain quite often. This weekend, I took my wife and her mom to brunch there to celebrate my wife's birthday. We ordered a couple appetizers and three entrees. The food was delicious. As always, the service was exceptional. The staff really took good care of my wife on her special day. The only issue is the "remodeling" of the area outside Cru as The Domain is upgrading the open area around Cru, North, True Food and the Ice Cream place. The construction will be done soon and then that area will be quite nice to hang out in for both adults and a play area for kids. Overall, a great experience.

The walls were covered with bottles of wine, suggesting that there would be a substantial selection which looked fun, but the reality was that there was a somewhat limited selection of wines and many of them were low budget type wines. Doesn't really fulfill the 'wine bar' image. Food was ok. White wine was served warm.

Food and wine was excellent. Would have appreciated a bit more attentiveness from wait staff but otherwise a good experience.

it's hard to find anything good to say about our experience other than it was easy to get a table since there was basically no one there. the food was mediocre at best, i spent more time walking up to the bar to place orders than our server spent at our table, and the prices are probably double what they should be based on the quality of the food. i got the "prime" ny strip and my wife got the scallops. there's no way the steak i got was prime grade. you can find better quality on the 'buy one get two free' aisle at Randall's. the scallops were about half the size i expected and tasted like they came from that same Randall's aisle. our server displayed absolutely zero desire to do her job and for what we paid, you'd think we were at truluck's or roaring fork.

We went specifically for Champagne Thursday, where they have half off bottles of champagne. I ordered a bottle, the waitress goes to look for it and they did not have it. No big deal, I order a different one. Same thing. Ok, bummer. I try a different one. Long story short, I ordered 6 different bottles all to be told after searching for each one that they didn’t have them. The waitress at this point was clearly irritated and said that the menu is very outdated and people don’t usually order bottles. She told me to walk around and look at the wall where all the bottles were stored and pick one from there, as those would be in stock. Mind you, this is not a small wall and I wouldn’t know pricing that way. I felt overwhelmed at that point and said I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to leave but we had order apps already. She asked me in a rude tone, “well how am I supposed to help you?” I felt bad for her because she was stressed, but I don’t understand the frustration with me. I was just trying to order a bottle. If the menus are outdated, they need to be updated. Anyway, she finally took the wine list and marked next to the ones in stock, so we could get one. This whole ordeal took 40 minutes. The food was good, but the service was awful. Don’t advertise half off bottles of champagne and then get mad at customers for trying to order one.

Food quality seems to have declined since last there a couple of months ago. Construction impacting patronage I’m afraid, which is sad…
