   Lack luster service. Didn’t have a table for us. Sat at the bar. It took a second for the bartender to warm up to us. But the food was great. And everything was great thereafter.

   I had chocolate infused fettuccine with shrimp that was amazing!! The piano bar was perfect!!what a voice. I can’t say more the food was delicious, service was impeccable. Cheesecake was delicious!!! Arugula salad with pine nuts was yummy!

   Great tasting Italian with a varied menu. Very small with limited seating underneath a building but has a great vibe! Piano player adds to the authentic ambiance. Be sure to make reservations since they get busy! We made one for 5:30 and got right in. It’s in the theater district so gets busy fast. Service was slow but we think it was just our waiter. Overall it runs like a well oiled machine. Highly suggest!

   We had not been here before but had heard from others to give it a try. There was a line of people waiting to get seated along the bar. There was no way to get up to the Maitre d to check in for our reservation. Unfortunately, we then ended up being seated in what can only be described as a narrow cloakroom from back in grade school days. A very narrow area opposite the bar with several tiny tables against the wall with barely enough room for the waiter to get by. Visually, one could not see the bar, the piano or the rest of the restaurant. The adjoining table had a guy who talked (and sang) loud with his voice bouncing off the walls of the narrow space. It was all annoying at best. I had let the restaurant know it was my wife’s birthday in advance, so was disappointed. The main dining area seemed nicely decorated from what we saw when first walking in from a distance. The food and service were good. I can’t go back though, not knowing if we would be seated back in the “cloakroom” again.

   We had a reservation for 5:45pm and were never seated. We waited for an hour for a table we reserved until the hostess told us we would not get a table that night. We didn’t have a chance to try the food and had to find another restaurant for dinner before our show. The staff was kind but the disorganization of the reservations and seating was very unacceptable. I’ve never had a reservation and not been seated or served.

   Our 14th year coming and eating at this fine establishment. As always from start to finish, everything was top notch. Food was delicious and our server was awesome. My only complaint…. We missed our normal bartender. It was different walking in and not seeing her, as we always have a drink before heading to our table.

   Dining at Da Marino Restaurant was an unforgettable experience. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to the heart of Italy. The food was absolutely excellent, with every dish bursting with authentic flavors and prepared to perfection. Adding to the charm was the live music, which created a lively and intimate atmosphere.     Unfortunately, if I could leave a less than zero, I would. I made a reservation for 5:45 pm for 12/13/24, a pre-dinner before "Cabaret", which starts @ 7:30 p.m., not like most of the rest of Boardway at 8:00 p.m. 1) called to confirm during week, was told "If you made it on opentable, it's already confirmed" Arrived a restaurant a few minutes early. Hostess said 'a few minutes", wait at bar. Barmaid did not at any point, for 30 minutes of waiting, make any eye contact, let alone ask if we wanted something. Looking around there were no tables available, IDK how it could've been "a few minutes". Manager/owner? abrasive, did nothing to help, and was hanging out more with the piano player and table closest to them. Very few tables had food on them... After checking a few times during the wait, we left @ 6:15, still not seated... There was absolutely no way food would be served in time to make the play. Had they told us when we got there "sorry we're over booked, or "its going to be a bit" etc. we could have possibly gotten into another restaurant. Ended up at a stand up pizza place eating a slice. I would never re-book here. The website wasn't up either, that shouldve been a clue. Also, lastly, the bar smelled of mildew, even if we were able to eat at the bar, I wouldn't have. Don't believe what good reviews you read, they can't possibly be from recent holiday time.
