   Despite having our reservations for over a month (it was not a last minute, please fit us in situation), we were seated in the connected restaurant next door. Totally different vibe, decor and ambiance than the actual Dante restaurant. Only 4 out of 20 (?) tables in the overflow room had guests. It was basically a big empty room. The music was so loud. When I asked to turn it down, we were told it was so loud to drown out the music downstairs. There is a disco (?) Coda downstairs - that music was so loud it was literally shaking our table bumping with the base. We had one server with no help, so we were constantly asking for refills and “where are our drinks we ordered two courses ago?” Despite complaining about the situation the first time our waiter finally came to our table, the manager didn’t come over until our check came. Despite a gift certificate for a future visit, the whole experience was shocking and disappointing. The food was wonderful, as always.

   While I understand things can get busy I don’t know if I had a worse experience. My wife and I were celebrating our valentines dinner to which we had wanted to try the tasting menu as recommended by our server. As someone who does like to indulge in them I had jumped right on it. After our first course the server brought out the same wine (not knowing which wine it was) until I said something about “oh it’s the same wine” to which he then proceeded to go back and grab a different wine and bring out our food. He then asked us which course we had just finished as if it were a 8, 10, or 12 course, but it was only 5 courses and he had just delivered them. The food/service and experience as a whole was not worth the north of $300 tab. I would not recommend anyone come here nor get the tasting menu as it was overpriced with no true experience that comes along with it. Extremely disappointed with the overall service especially with that price point.

   We had the seven vegetable salad and the scallops to start. Scallops, along with all the accoutrements that came with it, were phenomenal. Even the complimentary bread was fantastic, served with hummus. For entrees, we had the duck and the lamb, both were amazing. The skin of the duckbreast was crispy and melted in your mouth, the lamb shank fell off the bone. They were out of the dessert we wanted but the server came up with a solution that accommodated us nicely.

   We did the tasting menu at the Cheri's table. It was so delicious and so fun. Service was fantastic. It was pricy but the staff made it worth it with exceptional food and attention to every detail. My teenage sons went with us and this was their first tasting menu experience. They loved it!

   Dante continues to be my favorite. My wide and I ordered the tasting menu, and the chefs did not disappoint. A tuna appetizer, an amazing lamb and squash pasta, a sea bass course, then steak, finishing with a panna cotta dessert. Each dish was fantastic. Highly recommended!

   We always enjoy Dante - quality consistently high. The service was great - our server was knowledgeable & offered guidance re: food allergies. I had the vegan stuffed delicata squash - delicious. My husband's pasta was also wonderful. We chose to eat in the back room where it's quieter & we can hold a conversation. I had fennel tea for the first time & it was delicious.

   We sat at the bar and had outstanding service and cocktails provided by Paul and Chris. Our meal was the tomahawk for two and the steak was cooked perfectly and came with the most delicious side vegetables which were a mix of fingerling potatoes, fennel and mushrooms. We also had the coconut lobster bisque, which was so so good. As well as an appetizer of pasta carbonara. Dante remains one of the top restaurants in Northeast Ohio after all these years.

    Dante’s is a beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious and pre-entree portions were easily shared by two. Our service was excellent until our server disappeared for over 30 min. between middle course and entree. We skipped ordering dessert because of the wait but we definitely had our fill of good food!
