   This really is a delightful hidden gem for Derby. We have been a few times now. The staff are always very polite and accommodating. Service is excellent and every meal is an experience The food is outstandingly good. They offer a variety of menus ranging from a real experience taster menus with wine tasting which comes with expectations of cost (but it really is worth it), through to something very affordable yet you get to enjoy the experience at the same time (£30 for two courses). Whichever you prefer. The quality of food is exceptional Highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!

   We love going to Darleys. Great quality at a fantastic price. The views are great at this time of year. The staff are amazing and efficient.

   Arrived on time, the first thing was told was when we had to vacate our table by - not terribly relaxing. The service (length of time) between starter and main was too long, it took 4 times asking for a bottle of water and the food wasn’t anything to write home about. Finally as we handed desert menu we were told we only had 15mins, so asked for the bill instead! All very average - but not average prices.

   Thank you for your review and feedback albeit it isn't factually correct and has made up elements. Firstly you fail to mention that your partner arrived 45 minutes or more after your confirmed reservation time of 13.00, arriving at 13.45 or later. We therefore mentioned that we need your table back by 3.00pm, you agreed that this wouldn't be a an issue. Had you made us aware that your partner was going to be excessively late we would have moved the later table so that you could enjoy your experience more. As for the water, once requested this was brought to the table straight away and definitely not after you asked for it 4 times. Thankfully your views that your experience was 'all very average' is not depicted across the board with many positive reviews across all review platforms.

   Great quality food and servers were lovely. Would have been nice to be given the chance to taste the wine before we bought it though. Also we ordered olives but didn’t receive them. They were swiftly removed from the bill when we told our waiter.

   The perfect setting for our celebration lunch. Friendly, welcoming staff made us feel special. Every bite was sublime and the wine was perfect. So pleased we chose Darleys for our anniversary meal.

   It was our 1st time at Darleys , we went for a Champagne Breakfast for our 40th Anniversary & everything was lovely, the place has got a lovely atmosphere with lovely friendly staff, the food was gorgeous and we had great service, definitely recommend & we will be returning to try the Bistro venue very soon, thank you for a lovely experience 👍👍

   We had a lovely sparkling wine breakfast, the food was delicious and came at a steady pace. We wasn’t keen on the sparkling wine, the coffee and orange juice were lovely! 🥰

   Had the 9 course taster menu. Each course was excellent, although it was funny that dashi featured in the first three courses. It didn’t matter and we would have gladly drunk gallons. The only picky point was that I told them I am gluten intolerant on the booking and when we arrived, but still got given multiple courses with gluten ingredients. If I had assumed that they were correct, it could have been messy.

    Overall the food is outstanding. The reason service stars are low is due to the fact that when ordering the waitress did not know how the duck was cooked and did not offer to find out. A 10% service charge was then automatically added to our table of 2 which I do not agree with.
