Located on the expansive grounds of the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa sits a beautiful restaurant with magnificent ocean views, Dattilo Fine Italian, the jewel of the Connecticut shoreline. The cuisine is fresh, creative and bold, with flavors reminiscent of old-world Italy. A rich authentic menu pairs with our extensive wine list features wines from across the globe. In addition to the seasonal menu Dattilo also offers nightly dining specials and themed dinners. Each Sunday we end the weekend with one of the finest Brunches in Connecticut featuring carving, pasta, crepe, and omelet stations. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful despite the Valentine’s Day crowd at the restaurant. We had a wonderful time and will certainly be back very soon.

We were brought to our table a half an hour past our reservation time (our reservation was for 8:00, we were told they had to clear tables for a big party that left, and we were brought to our table after 8:30). The wait staff was prompt in taking our food and drink orders however. After an hour and a half of waiting for our food we asked the staff if they perhaps forgot our order, and were told it would be out shortly. We gave them another 15 minutes we ultimately had to leave the restaurant our baby sitter had to go home. It was well past 10:00 at this point so any other options for dinner were out of the question as all other kitchens were closed. Fantastic Valentine’s Day dinner…

We made a mistake ordering off the Valentine’s Day menu. It took over two hours to bring our food….. The service is slow and the lobster I had was not cracked so I had no way of getting to the lobster meat other than the tail……. It was overcooked and was not worth the wait….. extremely disappointed

We had a great food for dinner and Sunday brunch at Dattilos but service was slow and inattentive. Not a shock for February though.
