   De Cortez is a beautiful site for a meal, with the pounding surf not far. My wife and I started with burrata flatbread, which was very tasty with an excellent crust. I had 6 raw oysters which were quite good. We then both had the filet: done perfectly, and so delicious. Our desserts were profiteroles and a pear tart, both completing a fabulous meal. The evening was enhanced by Alejandro and Armando our excellent servers, who were both attentive and friendly. Overall, a great experience!

   The location is what makes this restaurant remarkable. It’s right on the water and u can hear the waves crashing while you enjoy your meal. Selection of different types of steaks and the sea bass is usually the catch of the day. They have salmon and chicken on the menu as well. The organic salad is great. Portions are substantial so you don’t leave hungry. Service can Be a bit slow but who is in rush when the location is the star

   Came to stay at Hacienda Del Mar with family and shared their Chef's Platter to share for 6 people (about $40pp/US) Which included two types of steak, shrimp, scallops and lamb. Everything was cooked perfectly - but it would have helped to have actual serrated knives to cut the meat, instead of just sharp ones. The platter included each of the sides offered on the menu, as well as all of the sauces, which was plenty for the table. The wine menu was extensive and offered bottles from all over the world. We also shared several desserts afterward, the Praline tart being the highlight for all of us. Jonathan and Oliver were impeccable servers. Definitely the best restaurant on the HDM property!

   The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was terrific! We had the salmon pasta dish, the fried cauliflower side, the catch of the day, the organic green salad and the endive salad, all was so tasty! The service was lacking due to what looked like a short staff. The manager stepped up and started helping out for things to move along. All in all it was a lovely evening as we were on vacation and had plenty of time to enjoy the views.

   We were seated by the hostess Paola at a perfect beachside table on the patio, saw a whale, and had a fantastic meal. The food was excellent, the cocktails were on point, and server Emir was attentive and professional, with helpful menu suggestions and great sense of humor. An evening we’ll remember!

   The view is beautiful. The food and service mediocre. I ordered Filet medium. It came rare and was very tough. Hard to cut. Server never returned to ask how everything was until after the meal. Views are amazing which made up for the average food and service.

   Our dining extras a disappointment. I ordered the fillet and my husband ordered the New York. Both steaks were too tough to cut. The people dining at the next table had the same issue. We had reservations to return but cancelled them and will dine elsewhere. They are also seriously understaffed. This is such a beautiful setting, it’s unfortunate that we didn’t have a good experience. I’m wondering if because of the meal plan they have had to reduce the quality of their meat which used to be excellent
