   This was my first time in Nebraska and my first visit to the restaurant. I was greeted by two hostesses who were absolutely warm and quick to get me seated. The hostess who took me to my seat was knowledgeable about the menu and helped me make my selection. She suggested the Parker House Rolls as a start. I appreciated the chat we had about the menu especially when dining somewhere new. Let’s talk food... the Parker House rolls with hot honey butter? DEEEEELECIOUS. Pillowy, buttery, sweet-and-savory perfection. I could have made a meal out of those alone. But then came the butternut squash and kale farro risotto with oyster mushrooms, caramelized onions, and pecans—an autumnal (but springy too... it was April) dream with a perfect balance of texture and flavor. Earthy, nutty, rich, and comforting. Paired with a crisp glass of white wine, the entire meal was an unexpected highlight of my trip. Now for the service: while my main server was kind and friendly, she seemed a bit... distracted. After my meal arrived, she floated around the room in conversation with other guests and staff, leaving me feeling somewhat forgotten. It may have been a busy shift or just a case of too much social buzz, but a little more attentiveness would have elevated the experience to truly exceptional. Still, the food was phenomenal, the vibe welcoming, and I would absolutely return on another trip. Sometimes a great meal makes up for a few service hiccups, and this one definitely did.

   I loved everything I ordered off of this menu. I’m really impressed by this restaurant. The quality of food matched the price point and everything was absolutely delicious!! Will be coming back.

   Another fantastic dinner at Dish! Chef’s art of transforming vegetables into such deliciousnesses is so magical that we were fighting over the last bites. Excellent attention to dietary needs/restrictions.

   Dish never disappoints! We celebrated our 30th anniversary, and as always the food was amazing! My favorite tonight was the oyster mushroom bisque! So good!!

   Hey there Delilah! Our experience started with our lovely server named Delilah, who graciously put up with my husband’s rendition of a song that came out when she was in 2nd grade. And things only got better from there! The restaurant is nice with a good vibe. Their menu changes as necessary and everything we ordered was outstanding. We started with the Parker House Rolls that were the best I ever had. We also got the confit of duck with plum sauce. Very filling. Could have been an entree. And the mushroom bisque which was like a warm fall hug. Then had the farro risotto which was delicious but heavy, but was a great lunch the next day! And my husband got the gnocchi dish. I don’t usually like the French version (which pan fries the gnocchi) because that usually makes them dense and heavy, but these were still light and fluffy.

   We love everytime we go to DISH. The plates are each unique and unlike anywhere else we have been. The creativity in the food and drinks is so fulfilling. The service from the staff is always top notch as well.

    Two of the three dishes we had were very good.! One, however, was so spicy we couldn't eat it. We like some heat, don't get me wrong. The problem was that the menu did not say anything about the dish being spicy. It was not included in the ingredients mentioned. There was no mention of chili oil/chilis in the steak tartare. We ate a few bites but we ended up sending it back, which was a bummer because the texture and preparation was fantastic. I really wanted to eat that dish, but I was coughing from the amount of heat. My husband, with a steel stomach, couldn't eat it, either. Again, nothing against that level of heat or people that like it. Just know, this wasn't spicy, it was SPICY. The food is creative and delicious. My only intention in sharing this feedback is a hope the restaurant will note on the menu if items are spicy so people know what they are ordering. I also could have asked, but didn't think to ask as other items with heat had it noted on the menu. The shrimp toast was absolutely delicious. Get it while you can. The cocktails and the wine list were creative and we enjoyed them. We'd return again, but we'd ask about ingredients next time.
