Bathroom was not clean at all. Menu was almost useless. They "were out of" several items. The beer selection was weak. And they "were out of" several that were on the menu. The bartender could not represent what they did have very well (what kind of beers, in terms of IPA, Amber/Brown Ales, Porters, etc.). I ended up just getting a Miller Lite on tap, because they had nothing else on tap that I like. When she poured it, it was dark blue, left over from a Detroit Lions Edition thing, which was probably from the last weekend, which was 4 days prior. The food was just plain bad. Truffle fries came served on a plate that has about 1/8 inch of oil/grease that the fries were swimming in. Brussel sprouts were ok. The entree we ordered was an angel-hair pasta dish and we added salmon. The pasta was cut up into short (like an inch or two) strands. The salmon was under-cooked (seared on the outside, but raw on the inside). It gave me stomach issues about an hour after the meal.

This was my first time, and before my visit, I had heard very good things about District 78. But on this visit, it needed some work. Our water glasses were dirty, and we had to ask for our server. They were out of artichoke dip, salmon sliders, and cauliflower, but my seafood grilled cheese sandwich was delicious. I will give it one more try.

Worst experience of anywhere we have ever been in the city. We had reservations and arrived early and were seated right away. Then we sat and sat and sat with not one person coming to the table no one even came to bring waters. After wht felt like forever we just got up and left: I’d give no stars if I could. Was excited to try this place looking at the menu and so disappointed. Don’t waste your time here.

The steak bites were super salty, the wings were very overcooked/dry, the surf and turf burger was also dry and overcooked. 3 of us had the buffalo mac n cheese and it was also dry/disappointing. The ambience was the best part of the experience (very chill, laid back atmosphere) but for the prices, the food should have been far better. It was fairly empty inside but took quite a while for appetizers and then the food came out just a few minutes later. Our server was excellent and friendly, not sure I'd go back.

Service was awful! Treated my team of 6 to lunch. We were the only patrons in the entire establishment and it still took 40 minutes to get our food. They didn’t bother to tell us which items were not available until I was being delivered. Also, the staff was not very welcoming or apologetic about our experience

The ambiance and location of restaurant are fantastic. The sound was decent, but it was not crazy busy. The food was good. However, service was not very attentive.

Ate off Happy hour menu. Wings great, burger sliders terrible (over cooked), chicken slider and crab cake slider OK. They automatically include a 20% gratuity so the staff isn't motivated to provide great service. Good location for eating prior to the Filmore

Everything was wonderful with two exceptions: 1) smell of weed was overwhelming as I and my guests entered the building . 2) waitress did not inform guests that there was 20% gratuity already included, this some of us overpaid as we split the bill evenly. She let folks add another tip without saying anything and it wasn’t caught until the 3rd person was about to pay.

The food was bland for the price and luke warm and lackluster. The server bringing the food had his hair in his face over his eyes with braids almost touching food. I would recommend that those bringing out plates be required to wear a hairnet or ponytail. I will not be back, for a $200 bill there was much left to desired.

We celebrated my birthday and most ordered catfish & grits which were amazingly seasoned. The dry rub wing dings were small but delicious. Truffle fries were good too. Drinks were on point and I will be back.
